Last night the Windsor Manor family had a great time celebrating this holiday season and 2024! ❄️ 🎄 ✨

Vanessa, Courtney and all the barn workers were presented with gifts to thank them for taking the very best care of our horses all year long. We are so thankful to have such a wonderful barn family 💕

Getting excited for our upcoming pole and footwork clinic next Saturday and Sunday! has graciously donated goodie bags for our pole clinic series this year, which we will raffle off at each clinic! This month’s clinic will have a winner each day!

Our clinic also has two other wonderful raffle items!

🎄 will be donating a free photo session to our raffle! Winner will be chosen at the end of the day on Sunday!

🎄 Iron Bridge Hounds Pony Club will also be donating a free holiday wreath made by the wonderful pony clubbers! Winner will be chosen at the end of the day on Sunday!

If you are looking for a last minute spot on this month’s clinic don’t hesitate to reach out! All skill levels and ages welcome!

EXCITING NEWS! PLEASE READ!
Due to a large amount of interest in our next Pole & Footwork clinic December 22nd we have decided to open it up to both Saturday and Sunday December 21st and December 22nd.

If you are already signed up, and prefer the Saturday date over Sunday let me know!

Now that we have both days, if you have not yet signed up and you can join us Saturday please do so!

Windsor Manor had a fun and successful day at PVDA’s Halloween schooling show! On top of some spooky and creative costumes we also had some great scores and placings!

🥇Olive & Bean received a 71.7 % in training level test one for first place, and a 70% in training level test two for first place. The pair also won training level champion and the costume contest as well!

🥇 Rachel & Firnen received a 66.8 % in first level test one for first place and a 65% in first level test two for third place. The pair also won first level champion!

🥇 .eventing & Buttons received a 66.5% for intro level test B for first place and a 66% in intro level test c for second place

🥈 & Garth received a 65.6 % in first level test two for second place

🏅 Carolina & Buttons received a 60.6 % for fourth place in intro level test b

Another congratulations is in order for Olive and Bean! The pair took home first place in their junior starter division at MCTA this morning as they finished on their dressage score of a 28.3, a whole 10 points ahead of second place!

A big thanks to for going along for some support and guidance as is still out of commission.

Maryland will miss... Catherine Holden of Windsor Manor Stables in Sandy Spring. Holden was a former DC/Co-DC of Redland Hunt Pony Club and former show secretary for the USDF Colonel Bengt Ljungquist Memorial Championship. She is survived by her sister, Margaret Milnes of Kidlington England; her sister-in-law, Pamala Pratt of Jacksonville Florida; her daughter Vanessa (Steven) Swartz of Sandy Spring, Maryland, her two grandchildren. Courtney Swartz of Sandy Spring Maryland and Zachary (Rachel) Swartz of Westminster, Maryland; her two great grandchildren Kinsley and Emerson Swartz; and many nieces and nephews in both England and the USA. The Swartz family invites family and friends to a “Celebration of Life” on September 29 at her home (Windsor Manor Farm) at 16930 Norwood Road in Sandy Spring Maryland from 1 to 4 PM. We found a pirate 🏴‍☠️ and a parrot 🦜, a pumpkin patch 🎃 , a skeleton and dia de los muertos at the @potomacvalley.dressage Halloween show today!

The Windsor manor crew had a great day at the MDHT starter. Congratulations to everyone and great job to Miranda for finishing first in her beginner novice division.

Today Windsor Manor riders rode in the PVDA Alzheimer’s Research benefit show.

Windsor Manor sunsets are the best sunsets 🌅🐴

Olive and Bean @theresa.dumais and @clairemc_eq and Baby and Otto attended the WoW Camp a few weeks ago at Morven Park! At camp they worked on all three phases of eventing with instructors Jill Thomas in all three phases and Allison Springer on the flat. At camp they met other people from the Area 2 young riders program and also got to attend talks on FEI passports and Entries, horse nutrition, and a young riders social. They went on bareback hacks during night checks and had fun in the pool at the hotel when they weren’t at the barn to beat the heat!

The rain 🌧️ and clouds ☁️ didn’t put a damper on dancing ponies at the PVDA dressage show this morning! Olive @theresa.dumais and Bean earned a 68 and 66 in training 2 and 3! Also @hay_leyyyy and Garth had their first outing together!

🌸🔔 blossom alert! We are loving the beautiful pink blossoms and watching everything turning green this week! 🌸
