January Rider of the Month⭐️Lauren!

Lauren started riding 20 years ago and did western pleasure for 10 years. She then switched over to dressage, combined training and eventually started eventing! Lauren leased many horses. She got her first horse Westley in January 2023. Westley is a 6 year old OTTB. Lauren came to Windsor Manor in the beginning of November and she is working on restarting Westley with . Lauren plans to do both dressage and eventing with Westley! Lauren and Westley are loving being part of the Windsor manor family! You can find Lauren and Westley at blue barn!

Today we lost a very special horse Bea lived at Windsor Manor for 17yrs she will be very much missed but 32 years old is a very long life she touched so many hearts ❤️

December Rider of the Month⭐️Elisa!

Elisa has been part of the Windsor Manor family for over 18 years, boarding several of her other horses and having them trained there many times over the years. Currently she is working with her homebred five year old Norwegian Fjord Horse gelding Bear who is trained to ride and also to drive a carriage. He is currently being trained by Courtney Swartz Equestrian, and Elisa is looking forward to improving his flatwork and even trying poles and small jumps with him in the coming years so he can be the most versatile pony possible. Anyone who is interested in coming on a carriage drive is welcome to contact Elisa; she is always looking for company on the carriage!

November Rider of the Month ⭐️ Ally!

Ally has been riding in the hunters since she was 11 years old. In college, she competed on Skidmore’s IHSA team. Ally has owned her current horse Q, short for Quibajo, for 7 years. Q is a 13 year old Hanoverian. Q has a big goody personality. Ally and Q have done the 2ft hunters and went up to the 3’3 junior hunters together! Ally and Q came to Windsor Manor in the end of August and are looking forward to developing their dressage and going in lots of trail rides together.

We found a Bean Taco, a Barbie and a Duncan Donut and latte at the .dressage Halloween Show today!

🍩 and Duncan earned a 69.4 in Training 1 a 69.6 in Training 2 and a 62.8 Training 3! The pair took Champion in the training division and best overall adult costume award!

🌮 Olive and Bean earned a 71.2 in Intro C and 67.8 in Training 1 taking first place in both her classes! The pair took home Champion in the Intro Division and Reserve Champion in the Training Division and earned the High Score of the Day! They also got runner up in junior division costume contest!

🎀 Marley and Twinkles did their FIRST ever show and the pair earned a 65.9 in intro A for second place and best costume award as Barbie in the junior division!

It was a rainy and fun Saturday morning at the Goshen Hounds Fall Hunter pace at Brooke Grove Farm!

🍁the first group included and Stoner, and Fírnen, .s.equestrian and G and .eventing and Tommy. They were also joined by .venting and Jackie!

🍁the next group was and Baby and Cathy and Duncan! This team was joined by .eventing and Scout!

It was great to see everyone out and we are gearing up for MDHT next weekend!

October Rider of the Month ⭐️ Melissa!

Melissa has been riding since she was 5 years old. She grew up in New Jersey and did eventing and hunters throughout high school and college and then switched to pursue dressage. Melissa has owned various horses at both blue and brown barns over years. She currently has an 8 year old Dutch Warmblood named Vroom who was imported from Holland. Melissa and Vroom are training dressage movements and their ultimate goal is to one day ride at the FEI level! A fun fact about Vroom is that he was once featured on the cover of Dressage Today!

Congratulations to on winning both of her classes this weekend in the AEE Alumni Flat and AE Alumni fences, scoring an 82 in the jumping portion. The Alumni Equestrian Event was hosted at Derby @ the Vineyard held at Penns Woods Winery

Congratulations to and Koi who competed at their first AECs this past weekend. Justine came in 16th out of 50 in her division and went double clear in cross country and show jumping!

September Rider of the Month ⭐️ Rachel!

Rachel has owned her mare Davida since she was a foal and was the first person on her back. Rachel and Davida came to Windsor Manor in 2008 when Davida was just 6 years old. The pair trained under Vanessa from training through 4th level. In 2016, she bred Davida and her little c**t Cyrus was born at blue barn on June 30, 2017. Rachel’s daughter, Amelia was born in 2018 and loves horses too. Rachel left for a few years to be closer to home, but is now thrilled to have moved to Sandy Spring and have both horses back with the Windsor Manor family. She is so excited to watch Amelia and Cyrus grow up with everyone at Windsor Manor!

August Rider of the Month ⭐️ Carolyn!

Carolyn is one of the longest Windsor Manor residents and has been a part of the Windsor Manor family for close to 29 years. Carolyn owned her first horse Greyson “Grey Rabbit” for close to 16 years. She currently owns Vic “For Sure Victory” and Zoey “Zo Far Zo Good”. Carolyn has had Vic for 20 years (the last picture is 4yo Vic!) and Zoey for 12. Over the years, Carolyn has done countless lessons, shows, volunteering, Pony Club Rallies, and many barn celebrations. Windsor Manor is truly Carolyn’s family and always will be!

July Rider of the Month ⭐️ Imaan!

Imaan has been riding for 11 years. Her first riding lessons were in hunter/jumpers. She has been riding and competing in dressage for 8 years. Five years ago she got her horse Snuffles. Snuffles is an 11 year old welsh/QH cross pony! Imaan is currently doing first level with Snuffles and recently competed at the PVDA Ride for Life. Imaan and Snuffles came to Windsor Manor in February this year. They hope to start eventing together this season. You can find Imaan and Snuffles at blue barn!

Olive and Bean and Claire and Baby had a busy weekend at the Pony Club Rally!

✨ Olive and Bean .dumais participated in the dressage rally on Sunday! This awesome pair continues to work hard in their training and earned a 65% for Intro B and 66% for Intro C 🎊

✨Claire and Baby participated in the dressage rally on Saturday and the Showjumping rally Sunday! They competed at 2’7” and earned a 72 in their equitation round. Their team took 6th overall! 🎊

Last night the Windsor Manor family had a great time celebrating this holiday season! ❄️ 🎄 ✨ In addition, the friends and boarders gave a very special thank you to Vanessa, Courtney and their crew who provide the very best care for our horses! In addition, all of @courtney_swartz_equestrian’s students presented her with an electric bike she can use at horse shows and Vanessa received a beautiful new stool for teaching lessons. In addition, the workers received back packs from Vanessa and Courtney to thank them for their hard work all year! We are so thankful to have such a wonderful barn family 💕

Windsor Manor riders have been having a busy July! 🐴 @debsmith1107 and Sophia went to the VA Horse Center to compete at Dressage at Lexington. They debuted their second level freestyle 💃 and came in 8th in the freestyle challenge so got to participate in the victory gallop 🏇 🐴 @courtney_swartz_equestrian and Polly had a great day Sunday riding around the novice course together @mdhorsetrials at Loch Moy. @justperr and Koi also went to MDHT and rode in the novice rider division!🐴 Olive @theresa.dumais, Kerris and @clairemc_eq spent the week at the IBHPC Cobbet Camp! At camp they tried their hand at vaulting, rode in a Hunter Pace, and enjoyed many lessons and fun activities!!!

It was a busy and fun weekend for Windsor Manor riders! 🌟Olive @theresa.dumais, Kerris and Ellis participated in the Pony Club tetrathlon rally at Waredaca. They rode 🐎, ran 🏃‍♀️ swam 🏊‍♀️, and shot an air pistol! Ellis placed 2nd in the 8 and under division and her team took 6th overall! Olive placed 2nd in 10 and under and her team earned 7th! Kerris earned 3rd overall in pre-novice NQ! Shoutout to @clairemc_eq for doing an awesome job as stable manager! 🎊🌟On Saturday, @courtney_swartz_equestrian and Polly had a great ride in the Novice division at Hunt Club HT! 🌟 Miranda and Hayley went to the PVDA dressage show at Schooley Mill! @hay_leyyyy and Duncan earned a 67% in training 1 and 66% in Training 2 and @randi_cats and 🐻 rode a great First Level 2 test! 🌟 @justperr competed in Alumni Tournament of Champions at USET in NJ. They earned 5th in Alumni National Flat, 4th in alumni Cup ride (two phases) out of 23, 4th in Advanced flat out of 25 and 5th in overall point total for the season out of all alumni in nation.🌟 On Sunday, @clairemc_eq and Baby went to Fair Hill and earned 7th in the Jr. Beginner Novice division!

Windsor Manor riders put their costumes on and headed over to the @potomacvalley.dressage Halloween show! 🎃 @hay_leyyyy and Duncan were the complete package 📦 dressed up and UPS! They earned a 65.7 in training 2 and a 66.3 in training 3. HALEY AND DUNCAN WERE RUNNER UP FOR BEST COSTUME! 🎃 Olive and Tango put on their dancing 💃 shoes and dressed up as Tango dancers and earned a 62% and 64% in intro tests! OLIVE AND TANGO TOOK BEST COSTUME IN THE JUNIOR DIVISION!🎃 @cindyluwho22 rode her dragon 🐉 Fírnen today earning a 66 in training 2 and 65 in training 3!🎃 @adyn.eq and All Might went all out and dressed up as a skeleton, taking 3rd place in intro B 💀 ADYN AND ALL MIGHT TOOK RUNNER UP FOR BEST COSTUME IN THE JUNIOR DIVISION! 🎃 @debsmith1107 and Sophia, came out as the devil and the Angel 😇 😈 were the devil and Angel and took 5th in second level +!

Windsor Manor had a long day yesterday at Loch Moy’s starter trials. 🥇 Amy and Koi finished first in their open beginner novice division finishing on their dressage score of a 30 🥈Tatiana and Sugar finished second in their open beginner novice division finishing on their dressage score of a 31 ⭐️ Claire and Smoke finished on their dressage score of a 35 to finish 4th in their junior beginner novice division ⭐️ Grace and G finished on their dressage score of a 33 to finish 4th in their Elementary division ⭐️ Courtney and Polly finished on their dressage score of a 32 to finish 6th in the novice division ⭐️ Adyn and All Might finished on their dressage score of a 34 to finish 6th in their junior elementary division ⭐️ Cindy and Firnen finished 7th in their open elementary division ⭐️ Grace and Tommy went out Saturday for a practice run through the Beginner Novice test Congratulations to everyone!
