Penny only started agility this year and is killing it! A few other facts about Penny:

🐾 Loves practicing agility, with the A-frame being her favorite because it makes her feel on top of the world.
🐾 Enjoys exploring the cadaver bar between agility turns.
🐾 Sneakily distracts her sister with a bark to sneak away with her toy.
🐾 Loves relaxing on the sofa, especially if she can steal your spot.

Here are 5 Ways to Say ‘I Love You’ to Your Dog 🐾❤️

Stay Close: Dogs love to be near you. Give them plenty of pets, make eye contact, and let them hang out in the same rooms. It makes them feel connected!

Sniff Time on Walks: Let them sniff around! Smelling helps dogs understand their world and gives them great mental stimulation. It’s like their version of reading a good book.

Scheduled Meals & Treats: Stick to regular meal times so they know when to expect food. And of course, treats are perfect rewards for good behavior!

Train Consistently: Training not only builds trust, but it’s also a fun bonding activity. Use positive reinforcement to strengthen that connection. ✨

Tell Them Out Loud: We wish they could talk back, but they’re experts at reading our tone and body language. Expressing love out loud goes a long way!

Why we don’t do on leash greeting at Zoom Room ⬇️

When dogs meet, they rely on body language—sniffing, tail wagging, and subtle positioning—to communicate. But on a leash, their movement is limited, and they can feel “stuck,” unable to approach or move away freely. This can lead to frustration or even anxiety.

For safer, more comfortable greetings, let dogs meet in a secure, off-leash area where they can approach at their own pace. If that’s not possible, keep the leashes loose and stay relaxed—dogs are great at picking up on our tension, too!

This is also an important part of socialization that we teach in our obedience classes and playgroups.

Plus our trainers are always there to make sure each dog is safe.
