We are 86% to the goal! Can you help us get there? There will be three more "Big Give Days" with prizes, and then the campaign will close down for the year. We know this time of year can feel like an endless "Telethon" experience, but it is necessary for the area's non-profits to get funding for the year. Agnes is on doctors rest for a couple of weeks and Jim was volun-told he would keep her company. Jim still has no idea how he drew the short straw.

Sunnys' first medical check in years sadly shows just how important ongoing vetcare is.

This sweet boys previous owner believed in the power of love as care but not care as love.

Upon intake, he was unable to process any kind of hay and we quickly found out why. He has been suffering from untreated
e o r t h (Equine Odontoclastic Tooth Resorption) for years and the results have been devastating. Most of his molars are absent. He had 2 that were so loose the vet could pull them out by hand. We have a care plan to pull all of his incisors in a few weeks as the roots of these teeth are seriously compromised.
He was also diagnosed with cushings disease and was aged in his thirties.
We will do everything we can to get sunny comfortable so he can eat his mush, gain some weight, and find a little comfort in his golden years.

Despite being 20 years without seeing a horse trailer, this sweet old boy summond up all his bravery and loaded and rode like a champ. Sunny is now decompressing for a few days at his new foster home before we get his first comprehensive vet visit underway.
