It's crucial to take precautions to protect animals from the heat, especially during the summer months. Temperatures above 70 °F can pose risks, and exceeding 85 °F for extended periods can be dangerous, even for short durations. We believe it unsafe to leave pets unattended in cars, even with the windows cracked. It's also important to monitor outdoor temperatures, test surfaces for heat before walking or going hiking, biking, or running. Make sure you offer plenty of cold water and if outside, have access to shade. If It's too hot for you, it's too hot for them.
