Hey All! We are anxiously awaiting Moo to go into season towards the end of this month if she stays on schedule this time around.
In preparation, I have been doing a bit of administrative record keeping and making sure our wait list is up to date. I know there are a number of you have expressed interest in puppies in the last few months. If you are still interested in the Moo / Percy litter this spring, please fill out an application so we have the information in our records (link in the comments).
Please note an application does not commit you to getting a puppy (or that one will be available in this litter), it is simply a tool for us to get to know you and to find out what you are looking for in a puppy to see if that matches our program and what we expect to see from this litter.
If you have already filled out an application - expect to hear from me in the near future to confirm if you are still interested.
A bit about this pairing. We expect Moo (UCH One Love of Gold Earls ATT) and Percy (CH UGRCH Wallylama's Magic Touch) to produce some amazing handler focused medium drive pups and some great companions. Information regarding their health testing is available on our website (linked in the farm page bio)
Moo is honestly the calmest springer I have ever met - but don't let that fool you. She is adaptable to whatever you are doing. While we have not done Barn Hunt trials - Moo has participated in a seminar and a few practice events. The trainer called her an "honest dog" where she ignores the litter tubes and only alert on the actual rat tube. She takes direction well even from distance and will adapt to your input. Her handler focus and food drive make her incredibly easy (and fun!) to train.
Percy is higher energy (but still pretty moderate for the breed). He has an amazing off switch and transitions well from one environment to another. He has never met a stranger and has been a lovely ambassador for the breed at shows, even when mobbed by a group of young people all petting him at once. We have primarily focused on conformation up to this point but I hope to get him into Rally and some other sports in the next year. We worked on some training recently and he picked things up pretty quickly.
