One of our clients is getting moved into memory care and can’t take her kitty with her. He is about 6/7 years old. He is very affectionate. He has been a solo pet his whole life and wasn’t thrilled when he was temporarily in the daughter’s home with several other pets, so he might do best being the only cat or maybe just one other pet. He will be up-to-date with his vaccinations, but just looking for a new good home for him. There will be an adoption fee. If anybody could add him to their household or knows of somebody who would be willing to take in a new kitty, please let me know.

But Seminole County Animal Services would like to remind responsible pet owners that some dishes may have ingredients that can be toxic or cause digestive issues for cats and dogs. Only give your furry friends pet-friendly foods this Thanksgiving! (and keep the good stuff for yourself) 🦃❤️

PET HEAT SAFETY: As the dog days of summer continue, it’s important that pet parents consider their four-legged friend during extreme heat conditions.

Show care for your furry friend by providing them with extra water when outdoors, protecting their paws from hot asphalt, and NEVER leaving them unattended in a vehicle.

Our cat and canine companions can also experience heat-related illnesses such as heat exhaustion. Signs of the condition include panting, vomiting, warm and dry skin, and collapsing.

The summer heat is ruff but having a sweet companion by your side helps you to sweat it a little less. 😉🐾❤️
