Meet Cheesecake!
Cheesecake has been with us nearly two years, and we can’t believe she’s still waiting for her home. This sweet, happy girl has a medium energy and loves chasing balls and splashing in the pond or kiddie pools. She has a cute, raspy bark and loves to “chat” with her people.
Cheesecake can be a little nervous with new dogs but does well once she knows they’re friendly. She could live with a calm male dog or be perfectly happy as your one and only. She rides well in the car, walks nicely on leash, and has tested fine with cats, slow introductions recommended.

Meet Connie!
Don’t let her worried little face fool you—this cross-eyed cutie is as sweet and happy as they come! Connie is about 45 pounds, 5–6 years old, and has that wonderful lower “bully energy” we all love. She’s great with people and enjoys a bit of playtime, but she’s mostly a laid-back, cuddly girl who’s happiest lounging by your side.
Connie does well with other dogs, especially mellow males, and would love a friendly male companion in her new home. She’s not a fan of other female dogs and should go to a no-cat household. Connie is also not suited for homes with a pool, as water play just isn’t her thing.

Meet Rosie! This stunning girl is 1-2 years old and is a nice smaller size and medium energy. She is good with other dogs, big and small. She loves people and is good with kids. She has not been tested with cats. She is working on her potty training, and is pretty chill most of the day until she gets her evening burst of energy. She is a young girl who is still working on puppy chewing of things she shouldn't, but she will learn with a little guidance. She is an adorable, happy little girl that just wants to crawl into your lap and get attention. Meet Matlin!
This funny, charming guy weighs about 53 pounds and has a nice medium energy level. Matlin is both housetrained and crate trained, and he’s pretty good at entertaining himself—he loves balls and toys and will happily toss them around on his own!
He does well with both male and female dogs with proper introductions (he just needs to get a little excitement out first) and enjoys playing before settling down to relax with his dog friends. Matlin has also lived off and on with a cat and did well, he can be curious and might give chase if a cat runs, but otherwise coexisted peacefully. With slow introductions, he may be a great fit for a home with cats.
Matlin is a sweet, funny boy who’s sure to make you smile every day. Come meet him at our shelter and see what a great companion he is!

Meet Sawyer! This brindle boy is about 2 years old and weighs about 40 pounds, making him the perfect size for big dog fun in a fun-size package. He has a medium energy, and a pretty mellow personality. He is a sweet, easy boy. He walks well on leash, and rides perfectly in the car. He loves water, playing by himself with toys, and playing fetch. He does great with other dogs as well. Small children and cats are unknown at this time.
Sawyer was recently diagnosed with narcolepsy. It seems to be a mild case and is not life threatening or really that life altering in any way. He will need some management to his excitement levels and attention paid to his environment and what triggers him. He may also sometimes be drowsier. But he runs and plays like a normal dog and snaps out of his episodes fairly quickly and goes on like nothing ever happened. But please no houses with pools

Meet Clyde!
This handsome 6-year-old boy is full of love and charm. Clyde is house-trained, great with kids, and absolutely adores people. He has a friendly, social nature and enjoys being part of family activities or hanging out during quiet evenings at home.
Clyde weighs about 90 lbs and has a nice, medium energy level—just the right balance of playful and relaxed. He’d thrive as the only dog in the household, where he can soak up all the love and attention he deserves.

Calling all City of Fresno Furry Friends!

I’m proud to sponsor a Free Vaccination Clinic this Saturday, November 8, 2025, for families and their beloved canines!

Families can stop by to receive flu shots and flu testing, while pet owners can bring their dogs for free parvo and rabies vaccines, plus microchipping, all at NO COST.

Access to affordable healthcare and testing is essential for both our residents and their furry companions. Events like this help strengthen our community by keeping everyone, including our four-legged friends, healthy, safe, and cared for.

Meet Moxie!
Moxie came to us from her original home, where she was well loved but could no longer be cared for. This adorable, chunky gal is around 5–6 years old and has a low to medium energy level. She tires out quickly but makes up for it with her fun, happy personality!

Moxie loves toys and water, and once the games start, she’s all in! She can get a bit overexcited with her toys, so a home with slightly older children would be best. She’s a sweet, social girl who’s always happy to see everyone and soak up all the love she can get.
Moxie is housetrained, crate trained, and knows some basic commands. She was even trusted to roam the home unsupervised. She also does well with other dogs, though her compatibility with cats is unknown.

Meet Harley!
This petite, 47-pound girl is about 6 years old and ready to find her forever home! Harley has a wonderful medium energy — playful and fun, but also content to relax by your side. She’s great with other dogs, both big and small, and even lived happily with another female dog for several years.
Harley loves people and does great with kids. She’s house trained, has great manners, and is easy to live with. Harley does have a mild case of spay incontinence, but it’s very well controlled with an inexpensive medication given twice a week — easy to manage and not a big deal at all.
No cats for this girl, please.
