The taxidermy business I have built over the years has grown to something that I’m proud of. I have many faithful clients that trust me with all their trophies and this decision has weighed on me for a while now. I have to extend the decision to not take any big game animals this year and limit my waterfowl to 40 birds from this point forward the upcoming season.
Pressure from clients last season had me take in deer when I said I would not and the current waterfowl backlog is still over 55.
Friends, we are not guaranteed another breath(ask my Dad in Heaven) and I have grand children I want to enjoy, a place in Colorado we love to visit and not be burdened with constant thoughts of all that’s waiting in the shop. I’m truly sorry for the inconveniences that this cause for my great customers! Happy Hunting

28 years ago God called you home. It feels like it was a lifetime ago that we were together at the Gainesville Muni golf course, while at the same time the events of that day are vivid in my mind. I rarely shed tears anymore for the piece of me that died that day, but seeing what you’ve missed in just the last year with the birth of your first great granddaughter and the wedding of Tanner and Kasey has tears moving this morning. I love you Dad and anticipate the day I see you again when my Lord and Savior calls me home too!!
