It is with great sadness and heavy hearts Liza and I are announcing the closing of Island Paws on Sanibel. With 15 months gone by, the building not finished and receiving no insurance money, we made the difficult decision to close our brick and mortar store and focus our time, energy and savings on rebuilding the Over Easy Cafe.

We opened our little shop in October of 2004 to share our love of pets and provide the finest supplies and products for your best friends. It has given us 19 years of happiness and joy to be able to serve our amazing community and even create our Find Your Pawradise brand. 😊 The years of benefits, Howl-O-Ween events, Yappy Hours, Fundraisers & Luminaries have brought us so many wonderful memories and great lifelong friends. We hope we may have brought some great memories to you as well!

We can’t thank our customers, employees and visitors enough for all your love & support the last 19 years, and most importantly the last 15 months. It has been tough, but your love, support and messages have meant the world to us.

We will miss seeing our customers and their “fur kids”, but hope to see you at the pet friendly Over Easy Cafe. We will continue our on-line store and maybe one day have a shop again. 🙏 In the meantime thank you to everyone for such a beautiful journey, we are truly blessed.

Seventeen years ago today, Island Paws opened it’s doors for the first time. My how time flies when you’re having fun!
