🌙🐾 ASAP Hero Spotlight: Amy Smith 🐾🌙
We’re proud to see Amy Smith featured in the Santa Maria Times for her devotion to Santa Maria’s community cats.
Amy has helped multiple organizations over the years and now serves as ASAP Cats’ Community Cats Director for North Santa Barbara County following our merger with Catalyst 4 Cats. Her late-night missions and long-standing commitment to humane care have made her a hero not only to cats—but to all of us. 💛
🐱 Community cat work is a community solution. It takes all of us—partner agencies, volunteers, and supporters—working together. Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) helps stabilize cat populations, improve health, and reduce shelter intakes. As one of the leaders in Santa Barbara County’s community cat efforts, ASAP Cats provides not only TNR but also extensive medical care so colony cats can thrive in the places they call home.
We’re also proud to lead the county’s largest Working Cats Program, offering alternative placements for cats who aren’t suited for traditional adoptions. We provide customized placements for cats who thrive best in non-traditional homes, from barns to businesses.
