Very sad news from the little colony where Esme and her babies came from. Life is hard for cats on the streets. Those kitties with no homes have no choice!.. But if you have kitties and let them outside...well there is no guarantee they won't come to some harm. One of the mom kitties from the colony was attacked and killed today. Please keep your kitties safe inside.
Indy the kitty...is feeling a bit braver today!...not hiding.
Bardho!.. at the vet again this morning....and yes he is another FIV+ kitty from the streets who we absolutely adore!. The many people who wanted him before they knew he was FIV+...well their loss is our gain!.
We still can't pin point what is going on!. Dr Goldenberg doesn't think it's FIP and the last bloodwork really doesn't seem indicative of it. We had stopped the GS after the first visit with Dr Goldenberg....seeing as most occular fip kitties respond quite quickly to the GS...and his eyes were still bad!. Today I asked her about restarting it...I mean it can't hurt!. She agreed.
Recheck in a couple of weeks...and I need to call her next week to give her a progress report. So now Bardho has had 2 sets of regular bloodwork a chem panel and a uveitis panel. Xrays and ultrasound ...2 visits with Dr Stone and 2 with Dr Goldenberg and Dr Goldenberg consulted with a colleague of hers who is very FIP savvy and coincidentally I was going to take Bardho to see...Dr Kendra in Ventura...she didn't think it's FIP either!.
We have spent probably close to $3,000...and would have been so much more if not for the very generous discounts given by his vets. Please send good thoughts to Bardho. He is such a good boy and spent over 4 hours driving today without a murmur.
We have a new son!
Meet Indigo.
A very sweet couple trapped/rescued him from the streets a couple of months ago and had him fully vetted. He is FIV+. They live in a high coyote area in Malibu and didn't want to return him to the perils of outside!. They have other kitties and the dynamic of adding in another would have been too stressful for their cats.
He is semi feral... but was coming along with socialization, so hopefully, he will blossom with us.
Kittens got a new kitty tree!
This is the Lancaster kitty....he is ADORABLE!.
will make a wonderful companion! Please share far and wide and let's find him a home.
What a cute little video!
