This fall, from September 28th to October 31st, Gilchrist Farm welcomes you to its Harvest Festival & Pumpkin Patch. Daily, 9 AM to 6 PM, discover picture-perfect pumpkins. On weekends, from 9 AM to 6 PM, relish in engaging activities.

Huge thanks to Tyler Livestock for getting our latest piggies feet back to wonderful! We took in two abandoned pigs from the City of Gardena (left behind after an eviction). Their hooves had probably never been trimmed! So grateful for professionals like Tyler Livestock who added us to their busy schedule.

Scarecrow Making Workshop at Gilchrist Farm Saturday, September 21! Drop in any time between 10AM and 1PM.

We’ll provide: Straw, Burlap, Art Supplies (paint, googly eyes, etc.), sticks/stands. Bring or buy the rest….we’ll have some “kits” available for $10 with traditional scarecrow- type clothes. Or bring along any old clothes/shoes/accessories to make an awesome and creative or themed scarecrow!

Take it home or put it up in our maze! Come on out and get the fall feels.

No charge for the workshop (limited materials available for purchase or bring along your own "clothing". Bring along your own "clothes" or purchase a kit. The straw, burlap and art supplies are free of charge to participants. Drop in any time during the workshop. Good for all ages with adult supervision. 12 and over welcome as "drop off." Geared toward everyone-adults, kids, families.

As summer approaches, it’s time to plan exciting adventures for your children. Gilchrist Farm Summer Camp offers the perfect blend of fun and learning, away from screens and immersed in nature.
Mini Farm Camp for Little Ones
For ages 2-5, the Mini Farm Camp runs May 28-31 and June 3-7. This special program provides a delightful introduction to farm life, tailored to captivate our youngest campers.
Main Summer Farm Camp
From May 28 to August 9 (excluding July 1-5), the main camp welcomes children ages 5-16. For $410 per week, campers enjoy outdoor activities from 8 AM to 2 PM, with an optional extended day program until 6 PM for an extra fee. Summer Farm Camp at Gilchrist Farm! Now Enrolling...Horse care, grooming, riding and an end of the week horse show! Learn how to groom, tack up, and ride horses or enhance your current riding expertise by trying something new. End the week with a super fun horse show (with ribbons and prizes). At the farm we believe it is just as important to learn how to handle the horses on the ground as it is to ride. Here you see a little one learning how to get the pony to trot with her. (This pony says that is to much work 😃)

This little one is working on her groundwork. At Gilchrist Farm we think it is very important for all our students to know how to do everything from haltering, leading, grooming, tacking and riding. We also teach several different disciplines (Western, huntseat, dressage, Saddleseat, showmanship). If your interested in trying a different discipline contact us to set up a lesson.
