Animal Shelter Relief rescue is an ALL-VOLUNTEER 501 c3 charitable organization based in Santa Cruz County and serving animals and people all over Central California. Since 2008 we have saved, rescued and re-homed over 3,000 animals. 🥰
Our charter is to rescue animals from overcrowded county and city animal shelters thereby reducing the need for euthanasia. We are proud of our work over the last 17 years but it takes a village and we could not do this without the generous financial support of our community and YOU. ❤️

Meet ✨Little Bootsie✨She has four little white boots which are appropriate as she was rescued in a rainstorm. She prances around like a proper little lady. She is tiny, demure, and plays like a cyclone. A happy little girl, she likes to snuggle on your shoulder and watch your laptop screen. She is a great little companion and always sweet and affectionate.

Meet 2 new siblings named BlackBerry 🍇 and Lilly 🪷
Their foster mom says:

“Fuzzy little Blackberry looks like he belongs in a Walt Disney movie with his huge curious eyes and he loves to stare in wonder at his favorite humans. Blackberry and his sister, Lilly, were rescued from a very unsafe situation and they have thrived in foster care. Both Blackberry and his sister are friendly and well-socialized and eager to cuddle. Adopt either one or even both as a bonded pair.”

“Tiny Lilly had a very rough start in life. She was rescued from a feral cat colony and was very sick with a parasite. With the help of antibiotics and a lot of TLC, Lilly decided she wanted to live and made a full recovery. She blossomed into a vigorous, playful little kitten who runs all over chasing her brother, who was rescued at the same time. She is sweet and cuddly and will crawl up on your lap to take a nap.”

Scout and her brother Ollie are so beautiful, these pix do not do them justice! 🐶🐾🤍

They are thick, sturdy pups and are clearly Great Pyrenees but probably not purebred because they have shorter (but very thick ) coats.

Scout is the adventurer, the chow hound, the explorer. She also has double dew claws which is typical for the breed (see pic).

Ollie is the couch potato, chill, love bug.
They are both so very cuddly and lovable and good natured, you will fall in love at first sight!
They live with kids, cats, dogs, chickens and tortoises.

Good morning! We have a couple of calico girlies looking for their forever homes. Daily 🌼 (pic 1&2) and Patches 🤎

Daily🌼: “Daily She makes a good companion. Very loving and playful and has lazy moments. Likes kisses and to be brushed. Does well with small dogs and other cats.”

Patches🤎: “Beautiful Patches! her hair is on the short side but she has a big fluffy tail.

The more quiet and independent of her litter but also very loving and affectionate.”

Animal Shelter Relief TO THE RESCUE!!! 🦸‍♀️💪🏼
This past week a Good Samaritan called us and found these kittens abandoned still needing a bottle so luckily one of our foster homes had availability to take in these 2 cuties! They are now bathed, flea free, have full bellies and sleepy in their cozy bed!

If you didn’t know, our rescue is all volunteer and foster based. Every dog or cat we post is living in a home with other animals and families. If you’re interested in fostering, please reach out! We always need more😊
If you can’t foster, donations really help our foster parents get milk replacement for these type of kittens, medical help, food and other supplies!

Happy Monday! Meet little Kiwi 🥝 this tiger boy is allll play with no fear! His foster mom says:
“He’s the cutest little tiger boy! Loves to play with cats or dogs. Has no fear but also is very sweet and will cuddle you all night and day. He lets anyone hold him including kids. Purr machine . Lives with a 3 year old boy.”

Brandon needs your help ASR family! 😿

This sweet, adorable baby boy has stomatitis, a painful inflammation of the mouth. The only cure is a full dental extraction. He is otherwise healthy, but he cannot live with this disease.
Brandon is on pain medication, anti-inflammatory medication and antibiotics but needs his dental surgery ASAP.
