There will be a LOT going on at the Showgrounds this coming weekend!
Kids Play Day AND our friends at San Martin Horsemen's Assn will be camping out. They are offering a free learn how to horse camp clinic on Saturday morning starting at 10am with brunch served afterward, courtesy of SCCHA. Pre-registration is required for the campout and the clinic. Whether you are a newbie or a veteran camper, for sure you will learn something new!

Santa Cruz Land Trust is opening up the lovely Rocks Ranch to members of the Land Trust* and SCCHA. We are planning a campout with amenities at this historic working ranch in San Juan Bautista on October 5th/6th. Space is limited so watch for more details and registration.

Heads up everyone, prescribed burn in Henry Cowell State Park near Observation Deck beginning June 10th.

Thank you to everyone who sent in letters before the meeting. Over 32 people spoke during General Public Comments at the meeting.
The Board voted to hold off for 4 months and work with an ad hoc committee with community members including equestrians to find solutions NOT to CLOSE.

Over two feet of snow at Palisades, chain controls up on I80. Winter has returned for a day. Showgrounds got pretty wet so everything is muddy but only the large arena is closed today. Come on over and visit, but please don't park on the grass.
