Jax, you will be missed. ♥️ I can’t believe I’m writing this… it all happened so fast. Jax had a swollen lymph node on the back of his right leg in 2021. We had it removed right away. Doc thinks he’s had cancer since then. I noticed swollen lymph nodes Saturday evening and I emailed our vet immediately. Since then his appetite lessened, his breath smelled like dead tissue, he was super lethargic, drank a lot of water and was salivating a lot. Doc confirmed yesterday morning it was lymphoma. Said Jax’s breath changed because it probably spread to his kidneys by now. He was drinking a lot of water and salivating because he was nauseous. It was systemic and wouldn’t be getting better. There’s so much to say... If you know my story, you’d know that Jax literally saved my life. Over the years I’ve put him through so much. He taught me everything I needed to handle sensitive dogs. Best believe all the tricks and tools that are implemented in WOOFPACK’s training today was first practiced on Jax. My idea of WOOFPACK started with Jax in mind. His legacy will continue to live on through all of us. Apparently dogs can live with lymphoma for a while without showing symptoms but once they do it’s pretty quick. He had maybe 4-6wks tops. But he would have deteriorated quickly and painfully. I didn’t want him to suffer. Letting him go was the greatest gift I could give.Yoshi licked Jax’s ears as he laid down sleepy and lifeless. Both Yoshi and Roux were sitting with us watching as he passed. It was a peaceful death. Euthanasia was the kindest thing we could have done for him. I love you forever Jackson Noodle, my goodest boy.....
