Cuttlebones are a commonly used source of nutrition for our beloved pet birds. 🦜

But what actually are they? Where do they come from?🤨🧐

Cuttlebones are not actually bones at all. Commonly sold at most pet stores and found clipped in the average bird's cage, cuttlebones are the internal shell of the invertebrate marine creature known as the cuttlefish, an incredibly intelligent, unique critter in the same family as squid and octopus 🐙🦑

However, there are downsides to using cuttlebones for your winged friend.

One cuttlebone = one dead cuttlefish. Cuttlefish are often harvested only for their cuttlebones, while the rest of their body is discarded. These incredibly intelligent marine invertebrates are thus victims of exploitation. 😣

In addition, because this creature is almost exclusive to the Mediterranean, North, and Baltic Seas, it is foreign fishermen that harvest them, and these fishermen do not have to comply with the USDA's standards for animal welfare. ☹️⚓🌍

Choice Wise uses the 3 different antler densities, Hard, Medium, and Soft, to ensure there is a chew for dogs of every age, as well as dogs of every chewing level. 

🦌Our Hard Antler dog chews are best for aggressive, avid chewers. They have the hardest, most dense exterior, making them the most long-lasting and perfect for dogs that love to chew.
