Every spring, as the weather warms up, we want to shed our winter coats and get out with the dogs onto trails and into open spaces. Unfortunately, as our pooches explore the environment with their noses, they may encounter snakes coming out of brumation. This can cause concerns for dog owners.

Thanks to her “can-do” outlook on life and thanks to the tender and expert care by foster mama Bethany, Cocoa made it to the other side of this deadly but vaccine-preventable disease. Cocoa isn’t just a survivor though - she’s perfect in so many other ways! This 4mo doodlebug is perfectly socialized, she loves and respects all dogs of many sizes and ages, she’s wonderful with kitties, and she’s even learning basic commands.
