A Pawsitive Approach Training

A Pawsitive Approach Training We specialize in medical alert service dogs for Diabetes, PTSD, and Autism. I am a current AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.

I am a member of the Association of Professional Dog Trainers. I am currently studying to obtain my Certified Professional Dog Trainer - Knowledge Assessed. My philosophy on dog training is simple: Reward the dog for doing what is good, and correct them for doing wrong. Consistency, routine and schedule are the three best friends you can have while training your puppy or dog. I plan to teach the A

KC STAR Puppy class to each student via private lessons. I will come to your house or meet you in your favorite dog park so that you and your dog are comfortable with their surroundings.

Harley's team put in an impressive performance at their first major festival, exceeding expectations with their outstanding results!

To ensure compliance with both Texas State Law and Federal ADA regulations, it is essential to book your appointment without delay.

Kudos to Harley's family for diligently following the training plan and making sure their dog is successful as a service dog. It’s not perfect yet but we are working towards that goal!

I’m expanding our therapy program at HCA & need volunteers who are comfortable with adults on the spectrum. Big things ahead!

If you do your homework, these are the results you can expect!

Gonna brag on one of my pups for a second. Blueberry, a diabetic alert dog who's owned by a type 1 friend of Elena's, alerted to her low blood sugar last night in the lobby at the Houston rodeo. If you've ever been to the Houston rodeo, you know how crowded and noisy it is, not to mention all the smells coming from all the amazing food! So despite all those distractions, Blue was able to protect her girl from a dangerous low.

Blue comes from the Faith- Gunner litter. She's littermates to Buck (Elena's diabetic alert dog) and Levi who is currently training for mobility help for me. The entire litter was scent imprinted with diabetic scent from the day they were born. We raised them using puppy culture, ESI, and ENS. We also introduced them to birds, retrieving, and volhard tested them to see which pups had the temperament for service work.

Blue tested very well so we knew she had it in her to become an amazing service dog. But as much as I'd love to say it's all in the breeding, and while that is crucial, the hardest part of the training has been done by her owner and my dear friend Cathy.

I couldn't be prouder of this team, they have come a long way and they are the reason I put in the hard work with my dogs. There's no greater blessing as a breeder than to place one of my pups into a service home and have it be successful.

Blue is just one of many that we have placed into service homes and we hope to continue that for many years.

Stay tuned for updates on our upcoming litters!
