We had one hell of a Houston!
During the 2025 International Grey Brahman Show we had 2 class winners and Reserve Champion Junior Yearling Female
During the 2025 HLS&R Junior Breeding Beef Heifer Show we had a class winner and the Champion Grey Brahman Heifer Calf
Chris Mullinix put on a judging clinic. Period. That was the best judging i have seen at the International since we started in the Brahman breed. Cattle were placed off of a man’s opinion of quality, rather than the brand on their hips. No one can say they didnt receive a fair look. With that being said i know there are a group of people who will disagree, and perhaps they prefer the “good ol boy” judging of the past few years (which im sure we will get back to sooner rather than later) but for once it was so refreshing to see good cattle win.
With that being said, i wanted to thank the juniors and their families along with everyone else involved in helping us achieve these great accomplishments. The kids are the ones who put in the hard work. They put in the work every single day leading up to Houston to ensure the cattle looked great and were prepared. They asked the right questions along the way to overcome any issues that arose. We firmly believe this is the best set of juniors we’ve had in quite a few years and we are so thankful they allowed us to be apart of their showing careers!
And of course thank you to Katelynn Boysen for keeping my stress ball self in line all week and Raymond Doreck Sr for taking care of the barn while we were gone!
This one was for the little guys!
