When your pet needs you the most..

This!! It's hard, they aren't even mine and it's hard. But I often wondered why people just had to leave, especially when their dog is laying in my lap looking for them as the vet pushes the syringe.... 😭😭

Pets, it turns out, also have last wishes before they die, but only known by veterinarians who put old and sick animals to sleep.

Twitter user Jesse Dietrich asked a vet what was the most difficult part of his job.

The specialist answered without hesitation that it was the hardest for him to see how old or sick animals look for their owners with the eyes of their owners before going to sleep.

The fact is that 90% of owners don't want to be in a room with a dying animal.

People leave so that they don't see their pet leave. But they don't realize that it's in these last moments of life that their pet needs them most.

Veterinarians ask the owners to be close to the animals until the very end.
"It's inevitable that they die before you. Don't forget that you were the center of their life.

Maybe they were just a part of you. But they are also your family. No matter how hard it is, don't leave them."

Dont let them die in a room with a stranger in a place they dont like.

It is very painful for veterinarians to see how pets cannot find their owner during the last minutes of their life.

They dont understand why the owner left them. After all, they needed their owner's consolation.

Veterinarians do everything possible to ensure that animals are not so scared, but they are completely strangers to them. Don't be a coward because it's too painful for you.

Think about the pet. Endure this pain for the sake of their sake.
Be with them until the end.🐾🐾🐾

This is a good reminder. It's not just wild animals or third world countries...this is why it is still required by law that animals be vaccinated against rabies.

The cat bit two people earlier this week and follows recent rabid animal incidents in Livingston and Monroe counties.

We are excited to announce that Dr. Parker will finally be getting his much-needed knee replacement surgery in August! This will mean, however, he will be taking 6-8 weeks off to recuperate and do the necessary physical therapy.

We are fortunate enough to have 3 wonderful relief veterinarians that will be helping us during that time. All three have practiced in the area for many years and either Dr. Parker or our Practice Manager have worked with them extensively in the past at various times. It is important to us that you continue to receive the care and service you are accustomed to.

We do regret that we will be unable to have Saturday hours during this time. We will be CLOSED Saturday August 19th, and 26th, September 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Please plan to pick up prescription medications and food on weekdays.

We appreciate your support, understanding and patience during this time!
