🍄 CANCER HATES MUSHROOMS 🐾

This was the conclusion of Pennsylvania State University researchers who analyzed mushroom consumption on cancer risk, involving 19,500 patients.

The patients with the highest mushroom consumption - (2/3 of an ounce daily) - had a 45% lower risk of developing cancer.

Another study by Bastyr University, conducted on a group of dogs with an aggressive cancer (hemangiosarcoma), found that feeding a Turkey Tail mushroom supplement extended lifespan by over 50% While more research needs to be done on mushrooms, these findings are incredibly exciting for dog lovers!

Sadly, most of us who’ve had dogs have been touched by evil C-word.

CANCER KILLS HALF OF ALL DOGS. This fact is absolutely stunning and in recent years the trend is only getting worse.

When I began reading the research around mushrooms and cancer, I started giving my 13 year old husky a mushroom supplement daily. She lived and thrived until age 18, and while I can’t prove the supplement extended her lifespan, I believe it had a major impact. We certainly cannot yet say that mushrooms treat cancer, but there is sufficient evidence to say they greatly support the immune system of both dogs and humans.

DOG FOOD RECALL!!

Viva has recalled one lot of Viva Duck for Dogs (Ground), Viva Duck for Dogs (Chunked), Viva Duck for Cats and Viva Pure Duck (for cats and dogs) due to potential Salmonella, Listeria monocytogenes contamination.

The lot under recall is Lot 22853. The product is distributed as frozen 1lb bricks in clear vacuum packaging. Viva started shipping this lot out on 10/24/23 and the last units were distributed on 12/06/23.
