Fixing dog problems for a living usually means that when I hear from my clients, they have questions, ran into a new situation or things are not going as well as they would like.

But every once in a while, I hear from a client who wants to let me know how much better their dog is doing. Got one of those calls a couple minutes ago. 

I worked with Nala a couple months ago. She was so scared of unknown sounds that being outside terrified her and when a new guest visited her house, she would shut down until they left.

Her guardians have been working on what I shared with them and building on it. And today, Nala’s guardian reached out to give me an update.

They’ve helped her go from being fearful to a dog who is playful, whining for attention or more Enrichment games. 

Before her fear was debilitating, now her confidence allows her to communicate and even ask for more.

These are the sort of phone calls that help motivate us when we’re working with dogs that aren’t improving as fast as we would like.

This phone call made my day.

So everyone, please congratulate Nala and her parents for doing such a great job. Because of their work, she feels more relaxed, has better quality of life and is able to live life instead of being afraid of it.
