Thank you to a couple of wonderful people. Caleb League, thank you for the duck jerky for the dogs, dog bowl, wet dog food, sponges and 2 shipments of brushes!!

We owe some thank you's to some people! Thank you to Renee Will for sending the treats (there were 4 bags) and the dog toys for our aggressive chewers! To Liz Andrews, who adopted Anubis; thank you for the fly spray and the dog treats.

June is Pet Emergency Preparedness Month. We live in a high fire zone and an earthquake zone. Lately, we have added flooding! Are you prepared to evacuate with your pet and have a go bag for them? Check out the emergency website here for preparedness tips. https://www.ready.gov/pet-toolkit

For all Boarders, please know that we have an emergency plan in place that includes boarding dogs and shelter dogs, should an emergency evacuation take place or if to shelter in place. We have staff that is certified and trained in pet first aid. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask us by either messaging us or calling our main line at 805-525-3212.

This is definitely a month to celebrate all of our animal friends! Whether they are goofy, playful, grumpy, couch potatoes or Velcro dogs, we love them all. We also feel quite honored with your trust in allowing us to take care of your pets while you're not able to. Our love of animals is why our staff works here and we hope it shows in our care. Remember there is always an onsite care taker who checks on the dogs at night too!

April 30th is Adopt a Shelter Pet Day. Do your research on how to help a shelter pet adapt to a home: keep in mind the "3-3-3 Rule" of shelter pets. Look it up if you don't know it. Remember we're always here if you need help! If you can't adopt, at least volunteer to walk or take them for an outing or even foster for a night. You can find our volunteer opportunities on our carldogs.org website. You never know, you may find your soul mate in a shelter pet!

The grounds here at CARL's Pet Care Center look wonderful, thanks to the many volunteers and to the Butterfly project but mostly Diane and Rob who work tirelessly to make sure this place looks exceptional! Today is a big day for us! We love our customers and most we know by name, by sight or by their dog! We appreciate all of our customers for trusting us with their pets. However, the most important reason to us, is that you have dedicated your time and home to taking in a furry family member to love. There are so many animals who need homes. You are the dedicated ones who love your pet! Give them a hug today from all of us here at CARL's and give yourself a pat on the back while you're at it!
