Huckaby’s English Golden Retrievers Ethically bred Golden Retrievers. Dedicated to the highest standards in health, temperament, & early socialization with a heavy focus on therapy dogs.

Raised in home & under foot from day one. We are a small, in-home breeder of Golden Retrievers, located in Santa Rosa Beach, FL. We breed for exceptional temperament and health, maintaining the highest possible standards with clearances for hips, elbows, eyes and heart, along with full genetic testing to ensure we don't breed puppies that are affected with any of the genetic diseases common in Golden Retrievers. Huckaby's English Golden Retriever puppies are raised in-home and under-foot from day one. We begin Early Neurological Stimulation at three days old, utilizing the Puppy Culture enrichment program. We focus on early socialization and problem prevention, raising our puppies to be calm enrichment seekers, ready to take on life's challenges with love and joy to spare.

Toddy has been part of our family since the moment she was born, and we’ve adored her every minute since. We may be a little biased, but there’s something truly special about this girl. She’s sweet, gentle, patient, wonderfully laid back, and perfectly goofy in the most endearing Golden Retriever way. Gosh, do we love her.

Happy birthday to her siblings Moxie, Oliver, Daisy, Ella, Lilah, and Pearl, too! We hope you’re all being spoiled today! 🎉🐾

I’ve been a little quieter on social media lately because Huck needs a lot more of me these days. Earlier this year he was diagnosed with dementia (canine cognitive dysfunction syndrome), and his hearing & eyesight have declined too. Storms & loud noises that never used to bother him now terrify him, & he often becomes confused at night. Thankfully, most of the time, he’s happy as long as he’s right beside me.

I’ve been staying home a lot more often so he can feel comfortable & safe. Some days are much harder than others, but I’m incredibly grateful that he’s still here and ultimately, I’m exactly where I want to be. For 13 years, Huck has been there for me in more ways than I can count. Being his safe place is an honor, even when this part of our journey is hard. ❤️

On a happier note, if all goes according to plan, we’re hoping to welcome puppies by Christmas (if not sooner😉🤞🏻)! I’ll share more when we know more. 🐾
