A well earned congratulations to Martyn Elliott and Kerdat Playmate, who after four second place finishes this season, has now, at long last, come in First Place at the Barton on Humber Field Trial in the United Kingdom, held in heavy bramble conditions! Her mother is none other than Goldbeck Gundogs' OFTAW Kerdat Iron Lady, "Maggie", daughter of Goldbeck's own OFTW Kiltonbeck Iron "Thor". The sire is Brody Chequer's "John". Congratulations to Martyn Elliott and English Cocker Spaniel Kerdat Playmate ("Bunny") for winning Second Place and "Gun's Choice" at the Lincolnshire Gundogs Novice AV Trial in the UK this week! "AV" is short for "all varieties" meaning that the trial was open to Springers as well as Cockers. Kerdat Playmate was the highest placing English Cocker Spaniel at the trial.

Kerdat Playmate is the daughter of UK OFTAW Kerdat Iron Lady ("Maggie") now at Goldbeck Gundogs, USA.

OFTAW Kerdat Iron Lady is also pictured below - you can see where Bunny gets her good looks from 😉.

A big congratulations to trainer Britt Formby and English Cocker Spaniel "Boomer" for an excellent performance at the first day of hunt tests held this weekend. Dam is daughter of the winner of the 2015 UK National Field Trial Championship.

Pup is strong and muscular with just an exceptional disposition. He will be able to do anything you want him to do, quail, pheasants, ducks (loves the water) and would be an exceptional family pet.

It is with great sadness that we report that the legendary 2019 Winner of the United Kingdom's National Cocker Spaniel Field Trial Championship, FTCh Kiltonbeck Rollo, has died in a "freak accident." He will be greatly missed by all in the cocker spaniel field trial world. Our sincerest condolences to owner Steve Winspear.

Rollo was a dog of incredible talent, known not only for winning 1st place at the 2019 British National Cocker Spaniel Field Trial Championship, but Rollo's breeding prowess became evident when he sired numerous Field Trial Champions, including both the 2nd Place winner of the 2022 UK National Cocker Spaniel Field Trial Championship as well as the 1st Place winner of the 2023 UK National Cocker Spaniel Field Trial Championship.

We at Goldbeck Gundogs recognized the prowess of this line several years ago when we purchased Rollo's littermate brother UK Open Field Trial Winner, Kiltonbeck Iron "Thor" as well as Rollo's daughter Cleewold Damiana "Bramble".

Just a few weeks ago, we had Claxbywold Denmi Jazzle taken to Mr. Winspear, where she was bred to Kiltonbeck Rollo, before she was flown to America. We presently have two male grandsons of Kiltonbeck Rollo by his daughter Bramble when bred to UK Import Omachi Beinn Deargh who are up for discussion. Message us for more information.

People often ask us, "hey do you have a pup who would not only be outstanding in the field, but also be a great family pet, with an off-switch in the house?" Well . . . we happen to have such a pup. Meet "Pepper". You won't find a more lovable pup, who also has these incredible genetics and is an awesome retriever. He is 4 months old and started on retriever training.

This is the last remaining pup from our recent "golden litter" of Kerdat Martyn x Goldbeck Penny Ripple. Breaking news from this weekend's Dock Diving competition held in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.
