Hello all my wonderful Muddy Paws Family🐾 Just a reminder to please let me know in advance of our appointment if your dog hasn’t been feeling well. Sneezing, coughing, discharge, diarrhea, vomiting etc are all signs that the grooming should be postponed. Not only for the comfort and well being of your dog, but also for other clients scheduled to be seen in the van the same day that might pick up something from these contagious behaviors. If you aren’t sure, don’t be afraid to reach out so we can discuss what’s going on and what is best for your pet 🐕🐩🦮🐾💜

It’s Happy Day for Roscoe❤️

Joyful little Roscoe got to go home with his adorable adopters today! They are both experienced dog owners and so elated with the new addition to their family. Roscoe came to Dogwood after somehow ending up in a trash can. He now is a beloved member of a wonderful family.

It breaks my heart to let you know that Leo crossed the rainbow bridge last Saturday 🌈 💔 I know many of you have known him since he was just a few months old in 2019. He came to work with me everyday while he was growing up, and still came frequently throughout the last couple years, getting to know many of you & your pups 🐾 Thank you for your support and understanding during this difficult time 🙏🏻💝

Sometimes it’s easier outside the van 😅

This sweet old girl has been having mobility issues on top of her other medical issues.

Usually she can get in my van, or the owner helps me get her up there. I felt bad for her and wanted her to stay comfortable while she’s healing.

I decided it was easiest to bathe her outside. I put down my anti fatigue mats and brought out warm water in a tub to bottle wash her like the old days. It worked just fine and didn’t take too long. I couldn’t blow dry her all the way but I got to most of her comfortably and removed a LOT of undercoat. She got a really nice massage and hugs and kisses too. She soaked it all up and couldn’t wait to go p*e and take a nap 😴

I was only able to do this today because I was feeling physically fit, no tightness or pain today. I cannot do something like this all the time. But today it was better for her, and easier on my body overall too than trying to haul her in and out of the van and bathtub (last time I hurt my back and arm 😕) But I’m still feeling it. It was a lot physically.

Today started so full of joy! I literally cried a little when they handed him to me. Meet my clients new Pomeranian puppy 😍😍😍 Welcome to the muddy paws family little man.

Today I had the honor of helping poor sweet Ivy with her allergy issues. I felt like I was spoiling her, but I was relieving her of her pain and itching!

First we started with a paw soak. Paw fizz balls made to fight bacteria and soften hardened feet. I also added some minerals to the mix to amp up the healing power. And then I put some organic sea kelp in a masque on her back where she has had some crusty spots and missing hair. Some of this also ended up in the soak which is why it’s a weird color. So good for the skin!

After a good 5-10 minutes here, we rinsed and rinsed and dumped the soak. I added some anti fungal and antibacterial shampoo to her and let sit for another 5+ minutes. This also trickled down and was soaking her feet too.

After another good rinse we started the conditioning. pH balancing & argan oil conditioner mixed with ginko, a special olive and argan oil, more minerals and this sat a good 5+ minutes while we massaged it in everywhere including nose, ears, and feet. I also made a take home spray bottle for her owners to keep applying these amazing products during the week after her bath to help with her healing.

She was one happy and relaxed girl after her treatment 🙂 💜 I will reassess next month when I see her!

I have a soft spot for this guy. His name is Dusty and he’s so handsome! I haven’t seen him since December but he was still a really good boy and got a huge trim! Mom was so happy she sent me pictures 🥰

Today I had the pleasure of working with a sweet Dogwood Animal Rescue Project adoptee named Tala (formerly Cheyanne). She’s a Border collie/Husky/German shepherd type mix and soo sweet! She’s still building her confidence at 5.5 month’s old, and I really look forward to seeing her grow and flourish💖
