We are proud of how well our field absorbs the water. But this was a little excessive. In the rain and the mud, we pulled out enough food to feed hundreds of people some really wonderful fall and Thanksgiving produce.

Today's CSA. It's a pretty one, and Bita's got his eyes on the tomatoes! Early Girl tomatoes, summer squash, Song cauliflower, pohas, okra, Blue Lake Beans, orange flesh honeydew melon, and gypsy peppers.

White onions, Sierra Blanca from are just beautiful. Also quite delicious. Not sure how but they’re different than a yellow onion and really tasty. Let’s eat a lot of them they’re not a long-term storage union.

Testing Tierra's newest product. Dried masa powder. Champurrado. Recipe- Stir one spoonful masa into a bit of filtered waterfall water, Add jet boiled water and then try to simmer until thick. Stir in one spoonful Swissmiss coco mix.

It's a new plant for us! Can anyone guess what it is or have you grown it?

Thanks everybody. They are black sesame. We will keep you posted on their growth. They won’t be harvested until later on this fall.

Wayne and Lee are headed to Texas for the April 8 total solar eclipse. We’re wondering if we know any fellow farmers along the way? We will probably go Route 66 and on into Texas somewhere around Austin.  Would love to visit maybe lend a hand for an hour or two.

The Sunday soup was sublime. The cornmeal muffins were scrumptious. Still, some of the participants were even more impressed with the farm’s mud. A creative way of really getting to know where your food comes from.
