Saving Little Lives since 1942. The Tri-Lakes Humane Society is a no-kill, private, non-profit 501(c)3 organization. Our mission is to advocate for the humane treatment of animals and provide care and shelter for abandoned, stray, homeless and unwanted companion animals in need. We work to reunite lost pets with their owners and educate the public about proper animal care, animal laws, and spaying/neutering pets to reduce overpopulation. New York State Department of Agriculture and Markets Shelter/Rescue Registration #RR036
We are proud to say that we have placed over 3,600 pets into new homes, and reunited over 1,300 pets with their owners, since 2003.
The Tri-Lakes Humane Society covers a large geographic area in 4 Northern New York State counties (Franklin, Essex, Clinton & Hamilton). Under contract with local Towns & Villages, we provide both Shelter & Dog Control services for the residents. As a non-profit organization, we rely on the support of our community. There are many ways to support our mission and the animals in our care. If you are unable to donate or adopt, consider giving your time as a TLHS Volunteer! We enjoy having people come in to spend time with the animals and helping us provide loving daily care to the animals while they wait for a new home.
