We are steadily recovering from this year’s hurricane season and the challenges it brought to Sarasota Jungle Gardens. Each day brings progress, and we’re beginning to see the light at the end of the tunnel. As we continue to work to reopen Sarasota Jungle Gardens after the storms that have impacted our coast these past months, we unfortunately have had to cancel our Veterans Day ticket promotion. This promotion will be rescheduled to a later date. if you have already purchased tickets in advance, those tickets will be honored once the park reopens. The flamingos are back home. They (and the other animals) are doing well after the storm. We're making significant progress each day on clean up. We can't wait to welcome everyone back. If you had bookings while we were closed before the storm(s) or until we reopen, please know your admission tickets are valid 1 year from date of purchase. Thank you for everyone's prayers and good wishes. We sincerely appreciate them. We are hopeful that everyone in our area is able to get back to normal soon. Hurricane Milton came over with a vengeance and made landfall about 10 miles South of us. Fortunately the storm surge wasn't as bad as predicted. All of our staff, animals and buildings survived. However, there is a lot of debris to clear and repairs to make. And, we are still without power. It will take some time to reopen but we will do so as soon as possible. We will keep you posted.

For those wishing to help, we will post more information on how to do that in the coming days.

🌀WEATHER UPDATE:

Hi everyone. As we are all aware, Hurricane Milton is expected to make landfall on our coast this week. In preparation for the impact, we have adjusted hours for the next few days. As of now, Sarasota Jungle Gardens is closed through Thursday. We will assess any damage sustained when the storm clears and will provide an update about a reopening date at that time.

As always we encourage everyone to pay attention to local news updates about the storm and take the necessary precautions to stay safe. Our entire team is so appreciative of your support during these times. If there are any questions, please let us know.

As you already know, our team has been working diligently to get the park reopen to you, our amazing guests. After a long days filled with progress, there are still some things we need to continue to work on as a result of Hurricane Helene's impact. For this reason, we are going to be closed today, September 29. Please continue to check social media for updates on a reopening date. Again, we thank everyone for your understanding.
