Our sweet Ringo needs a foster home! ❤️‍🩹

About two months ago, we saved Ringo & his brother from the shelter and they are the cutest little boys. His brother got adopted, but we had to hold off on adopting out Ringo because of a heart murmur. He’s been on a waiting list to get into the UF Small Animal Hospital in Gainesville and is finally going on Thursday! 🎉

He’s currently in Sarasota, but coming up to Tampa tonight before going to Gainesville on Thursday. We need a foster home within an hour of Tampa or Sarasota for him to land in on Thursday night.

He’s just a year old, only 14lbs, LOVES other dogs and is the sweetest little houseguest. He is also neutered. We don’t know if he will need surgery or treatment or nothing at all, but he needs a foster home while we figure that out! 🙏🏻

WHO LOVES GOLDEN RETRIEVERS? 😍

It’s raining Golden Retrievers at Love4Paws! This past weekend we took in 7 beautiful Goldens and need to find homes for 4 of them right now. We helped a group of 6 after their owner passed away and then found Ramsey needing a home, so we picked him up too.

We are looking for foster homes or foster-to-adopt homes that are available ASAP to help these beautiful pups 🐶

Here’s who we have:

❤️ Minnie: She’s 3 years old and about 60lbs, a deep red, super wiggly, friendly and a velcro girl.
🐕 Jack: He’s a tall, very skinny English Cream, who needs to gain weight and be loved on. He’s 6 years old and a serious heartbreaker 😍
❤️ Journey: She’s 4 years old, a light golden, about 60lbs, very sweet but a little timid. She needs another dog to follow.
🐕 Ramsey: He’s only a year old, about 65lbs and English Cream. He’s timid at first and most comfortable with women but warms up quickly with men. He’s good with dogs and cats and lived with older kids. He is not from the home with the other three.

Fosters must be within an hour of Tampa or Sarasota to get them to our vet clinics. We provide basic supplies and foster families get the first chance to adopt. Please indicate on your application if you would just like to foster and help out or if you plan to adopt.

Meet Wiggles! ❤️

This sweet, wiggly puppy steals the hearts of everyone he meets within seconds. He’s a BIG BOY, with big paws, extra skin and lots of growing to do. He’s growing by the minute!

Wiggles and his sister Roo (also in our rescue) were sadly dumped in a parking lot on a busy road. The shelter estimated Wiggles at a year old, but his sister at only 6 months old. We think he is just a baby and more like 6 months old as well. We wouldn’t be shocked if he’s 80lbs full grown. He’s 36lbs now and likely a Goldendoodle.

Long awaited Chance update!! 🤩

We apologize for not sharing updates on our skinny boy sooner, but there hasn’t really been a whole lot to update on. Chance’s weight gain has been SLOW, but after almost two months of a very strict feeding schedule, he is FINALLY starting to look almost normal! He has finished his Doxy and will be getting started with the injection stage of his Heartworm treatment in a few weeks. He’s unfortunately been battling a skin infection, but that is finally starting to clear up.

He really is the sweetest, happiest boy ever and we are so thankful that he hasn’t let his past impact his personality and outlook on the world. We don’t have any kind of update on his abuser yet, but we are hopeful we will have something we can share in the near future. We are forever appreciative of all the donations and well wishes we have received for Chance - he definitely is loved across the world!! ❤️❤️

This is Whiskey, our 2 yo male Dane that’s available for adoption, getting some love at Sarasota Polo Club for the Woofminster Dog Show today! Unfortunately, we took pictures without realizing that it was a contest, and started heading back to the other side of the pitch. Then we heard people saying they were calling for him and that that he WON! However, by the time we got back, they had to award first place to another dog. But that’s ok. He was still a star of the day! 🐶😊

Meet Piglet! 🐷

This beautiful boy joined our rescue about a month ago and is ready for his forever home. He is just 18lbs and estimated at 6.5 years old.

Piglet is a shy and nervous at first, but once he warms up, he is a playful love bug! ❤️ He enjoys playing with stuffed animals 🧸 eating 🥣 and lying next to you on the couch 🛋️ He is gentle and prefers a calmer environment. A quiet home would be great for him.

After putting him in a foster home and getting him to our vet, we confirmed that Piglet is blind ❤️‍🩹 It doesn’t hinder him much though. He easily learns the layout of the house and yard and gets around great. He’s a very smart boy!

Piglet is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is housebroken and crate trained. He does best with female dogs and dog savvy cats 🐱 but would be fine as a spoiled only dog too. He is in Tampa and his adoption fee is $250.

Do we have any MINI DACHSHUND LOVERS? 😍

This 6 month old mini Dachshund puppy is the most perfect little boy we've ever seen! ❤️

Wheezy is just 11.8lbs of love 🥰 He's spunky, fun and sweet with everyone he meets. He's great with dogs and cats ad loves to play fetch 🎾 He will even play fetch by himself by throwing his toy in the air. He loves to cuddle and loves going for car rides to get pup cups 🍦

Like any puppy, he's still working on puppy things. He is crate trained and does well in it, but isn't fully housetrained yet. His last owner had him p*e pad trained, so he is still p*e pad trained, but working on actual housetraining.

Wheezy is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. His adoption fee is $600 and he is in Clearwater.

We have several Golden Retrievers coming into our rescue this weekend and need 4 foster homes beginning Saturday. The dogs in need are two males & two females, ranging from 3.5-7 years old, around 60-65lbs. They are great with other dogs - unsure on kids or cats.

Journey 🌸

Last August, this sweet girl was seen living on a construction site for 6-8 months - most of her puppyhood 😔 Alone and searching for food, afraid of people. A local dog trapper, Heath Bodden, dedicated days to catching her, even sleeping in his car, and he did!

For the last 5 months, she has been in a foster home with another local rescue. She needed a new foster home and we expressed interest in taking her (she’s just so pretty 🥺), but couldn’t pull it together fast enough, so she was set to move to a temporary foster. Unfortunately, she was lost during the hand off and bolted into a huge patch of woods along I-75 😭 Everyone jumped into action, she was spotted in the woods with a thermal drone and was (thankfully) quickly trapped and brought to safety - again! 😅

She is now in one of our very experienced foster homes where she is LOVING life. She saw our vet and although she was negative for heartworms back in August, her time as a stray caught up to her, and she is sadly now heartworm positive 💔😭 But that’s okay, we’ll get her treated!

Journey is a TINY 34lb lab/hound mix who lives for the company of other dogs and is a stellar playmate 🐕 She is also great with cats! 🐱 We are looking for either a forever home (we prepaid for her treatment) or a longer term foster home for heartworm treatment. She is already spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. *Heartworms are not transmittable to your dog.

Here’s what she needs:
🐕 Another dog in the home (the more animals the merrier for her!)
🌸 A secure 6ft fence
🐕 No kids, just for the risk of her getting out
🌸 Tampa Bay Area preferred, but we could expand a bit if you can get her to her vet appointments

Where are all of our Weim lovers at?! We know we’ve got quite the following of them!! This beautiful boy is Odin, an eight month old blue Weimaraner puppy who is as sweet as he is gorgeous!!

We have come to notice that Odin has a bit of a hearing impairment. There are times where he seems like he can hear fine, and others where it seems like he can’t hear anything at all. He will be seeing our vet this week to determine the extent of his hearing impairment, but he is smart as a whip and will have no problem learning hand signals for commands!

Beyond his hearing, he is a very typical young Weim. He’s got the energy, the desire to love, and allllll the Velcro! He loves other dogs and he will need an adoptive home with other dogs. Like pretty much all Weims, he doesn’t love to be left alone but having other dogs does help him. He loves to be active and go on adventures with his people, so he would do best with an active family who will include him on their fun 😋. Odin is housetrained, crate trained, and walks well on a leash.

Another Beagle needs a home! 🥺

Yesterday, Birdie was rescued from some very poor living conditions. She’s a skeletal 15lbs, is absolutely starving, has wounds on her face and her back end is urine stained from probably being stuck in it in a cage 💔 Not to mention, she has the saddest puppy dog eyes ever 🥺

Birdie is only about a year old and is very scared initially, but warms up quickly, especially with food and bonds quickly with females.

Can anyone open their home to her?

🤎 Sweet Vinnie 🤎

He is the coolest little guy. He’s incredibly friendly and only has to know you for 60 seconds to give you a kiss. He’s short, a bit of a jolly roly poly and GREAT with all other dogs. Today, he hung out with Banjo while Banjo met potential adopters, but no meet and greets for Vinnie yet. It doesn’t get his spirit down though, he knows his people are coming! 🤞🏼

Vinnie is around 4.5 years old, 28lbs (he looks smaller) and was raised with kids and other dogs. He’s a family dog and a great companion. However, he recently had a seizure and has been put on meds for it. He seems happy, playful and like nothing is wrong though!

In a perfect world, we would love for Vinnie to be adopted and have a forever family 🥺 But, a foster home with the ability to get him to Sarasota for occasional vet visits would also be such a gift to him. He’s currently in a kennel and deserves a home 💔

Update: both girls are in foster homes!

Two doodle girls need homes! 💖

We just took in a a few new doodles and two of them are needing foster homes. They are amazing, friendly girls and we can’t wait to see them be spoiled!

💖 ROO: She is a Goldendoodle puppy who is likely about 7-9 months old and 30lbs. She is very timid until she’s with other dogs. She must have another dog and preferably a fenced yard. She came alive having both of those! *Please note: she is a puppy. She could be 60lbs +/- full grown, we really don’t know. This is not her full size.

🤎 Labradoodle: We’re still working on a name for her! She’s a short, stocky, wiggly girl. She’s easy peasy. Super friendly, loves everyone, instantly friendly. She’s about 50-60lbs, just surrendered last night. She came in with other dogs, but has since not liked being around dogs and we are looking for a home without dogs for her to decompress in. She seems to not mind cats though.

We are looking for immediate foster homes for both girls. Fosters have the first chance to adopt them and we provide supplies. We need fosters to be within an hour of Tampa or Sarasota to get to our vet clinics 🏥

Update: she is pending adoption!

Our very special, Lana ♥️

Tonight, we want to tell you about a very special girl who has been waiting a long time for her forever home 🥺 She is Lucy’s sister, who was adopted recently.

Lana needs a really loving home. She’s a sensitive, delicate flower 🌹 She has been in her current foster home for 5 months now and has done so well there. Prior to that, we tried her with higher energy doodles with a fenced yard and then by herself with no fenced yard. She was so nervous in both homes that she quit eating 😔

So, we asked a very special foster mom to try her out and it was the perfect fit - a fenced yard, a single woman who works from home (she was raised by two men though and likes men) and two older, calmer male poodles. She needs canine companionship, but can also be playful at times. After not eating in two homes, she walked right into this foster home and ate a bowl of kibble within an hour. Lana will tell us when she feels comfortable ♥️

🐕 A mature girl who doesn’t need to be crated and doesn’t have accidents
♥️ She is a former breeding mom, raised with 8 other dogs, mainly females.

Update on Hudson! 🧡

We are so thankful that our awesome team at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay got him in super quickly and Dr. Konda and Kimberly gave him all of the love on his first vet visit ❤️‍🩹

Our brave boy is 29.2lbs and just a puppy at only 1 year old. The best part - he’s negative for heartworm disease! 🙌🏼

Hudson will be neutered within the next few weeks, after he gains weight and gets a little healthier. Our big boy has also done really well with leash training in just 24 hours. We’re so proud of him!

A sweet, starving puppy 🥺

Recently, deep in a wooded preserve, people on ATVs saw a very skinny hound dog run in front of them. He was too afraid to come to anyone, had a rope tied tightly around his neck and was clearly not finding food 💔 They began leaving food for him and found a local dog trapper to help them (thank you Lori!). Because he was so cold and hungry, he went right in the trap, which likely saved his life 😭 We are so thankful that they all chose to help him and didn’t give up! 🙌🏼

We picked up Hudson today and as you can see, he was terrified and got very car sick 🥺 He’s scared, hasn’t had a lot of human touch, leashes paralyze him, probably just had the first bath of his life and ate dinner under the bed tonight. However, he is just an innocent boy who will let you do anything, even if he shakes the whole time ❤️ He is only the size of a beagle, about 25lbs, and likely under a year old.

We are letting him decompress in one of our main foster homes, but will soon look for a new foster home for him. We also put together a wish list of a few basic items to start his journey with if you want to send him something!
