Go Gunner go! 😍💪

We are so proud of our warrior pup Gunner. As many of you will remember, back in May we took in a German Shorthaired Pointer puppy who'd been hit by a car and was critically injured. Over the last several months Gunner has received ALL of the best medical care we could provide, largely thanks to your generous donations. Gunner has been working through physical therapy and has truly made an incredible recovery - he is an inspiration to all of us! While Gunner might not ever walk completely normal, it certainly does not slow him down. But let's be honest, when have the words "normal” and "young GSP” ever been used in the same sentence? 🤣 In true GSP fashion, he is ready to GO GO GO! He absolutely adores his GSP foster siblings and he will need a home with another high energy dog who loves to play. He just celebrated his first birthday a couple weeks ago, and he is just the happiest, derpiest, sweetest, silliest boy ever. We know he's going to make some family VERY happy!

Gunner is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and he's all ready to find his new family! He needs a family with high energy breed experience, and he also needs a family who is willing to continue working on his physical therapy exercises with him to make sure he stays in the best shape possible! We’ve had a busy morning! 😅

Last night, we unexpectedly took in the happiest poodle on the planet 🖤 We realized this morning that he needed to go to the vet for a few things, so we called our friends at Hickory Hill Veterinary Services and they said “come on down!” ☺️

On our way there, our volunteer saw a kitten tumbling across the road. It tried to run off, went under a chainlink fence and our volunteer climbed the fence and got her! 🙌🏼 She has minor injuries but will be okay.

Thankfully, Dr. Shrode immediately examined her and got her feeling better and our friends at The Runaways Animal Rescue are taking her in 🐱

🐕 FOSTER OR ADOPTER HOME NEEDED ASAP! 🐕

Sweet little Gracie officially joined our rescue today, but sadly we have nowhere for her to go 😔 She’s boarded at our vet’s office temporarily, but she needs a home 🥺

Gracie is a 7 year old purebred rough coat Jack Russell Terrier and weighs only 17lbs. Although she is a JRT whose breed is known for high energy, she is very uncharitably calm.

She is best suited in a home as an only dog or with non alpha easy going other dogs, where she can relax and just enjoy snuggling with her person. ❤️ She is a nervous girl, who is a little jumpy with quick movements, so a quiet adult only home would make her feel safest ☺️

She loves sleeping under the covers, laying at your feet, going for walks, laying on a pool sun shelf or in a kiddie pool and watermelon 🍉 who doesn’t love watermelon?!

🍁 Sweet Lisa 🍁

We posted earlier about Lucy & Lana’s birthdays being today and guess what? Lisa is Lucy’s daughter 🧡 She just turned 4 years old in September and is ready to find her home.

Lisa is a stunning, royal beauty 👑 She’s a 55lb Standard Poodle with a gorgeous thick, silver beige coat. She loves all animals and greatly depends on the presence of another dog. She just needs a friend or even to be part of a pack; she absolutely loves dogs and is even good with cats 🐱

She’s a bit of a homebody, but is slowly coming out of her shell. When you meet her, she’s shy, but with time she settles in. She likes a 20 minute walk, sleeping in bed with her people and to dance before meals 😂

She’s a simple, quiet, loyal companion 🤎

Lisa is in St. Petersburg and is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $300. She needs an adult only home with a fenced yard and another dog.

🎉🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY LUCY & LANA! 🎂🎉

Today, our very special sisters are 8 years young! We absolutely love these girls and can’t wait for someone to love them as much as we do ❤️

Lucy & Lana joined our rescue this summer with a group of girls who were all breeder moms. They are Standard Poodles and at the perfect age where they are well behaved, easy going and past the young dog shenanigans 😆

They are each looking for homes with another dog and a fenced yard, because that is what they are used to and how they have been the happiest. Miss Lana specifically requests poodle siblings 🐩

Remember little Buttons? 💕

It’s time to find her forever home! 💗 This perfect little angel has been with us for about 4 months and in that time, she has completed heartworm treatment and survived aspiration pneumonia. She’s quite the fighter and we couldn’t have gotten her through that without your support and donations.

She’s now happy and healthy and ready to find her people. She’s cute as a button, estimated at 7 years old (a perfect age) and about 28lbs.

💙 Jax & Jilly 💞

Before Hurricane Milton, these two were sadly seen wandering as strays for weeks and assumed to have been living in a nearby abandoned trailer 💔 They survived the storm and emerged again the day after the storm, approaching neighbors and asking to be helped. So we did!

Without power or water at home, one of our volunteers rushed to pick them up and brought the flea ridden duo home. There was no other option. Thankfully, the Tractor Supply Co. on Hillsborough Ave invited us to come in and treat them to a spa day amidst the hurricane chaos 🛁 We were so grateful!

Fast forward ⏩ They were not reclaimed from the shelter and we happily welcomed them into our rescue. They are not bonded and are looking for separate homes.

💞Jilly - the sweet Poodly Doodly girl. She’s about 1.5 years old and 42lbs. She’s low energy, super cuddly, spends most of her day on the couch and could honestly live anywhere. She’s great with all size dogs and older children.

💙 Jax - the sweetest, mushiest, young dumb boy. He’s goofy, affectionate, gives kisses and LOVES playing with other young dogs. He’s great with any size dog (even tiny ones), children and has even seen goats with no reaction. He’s a lab mix and just a puppy at 1 year old and 52lbs.

They have both been fixed, vaccinated, microchipped and are heartworm negative. They are in Tampa/Brandon and ready to go!

We would also like to shout out the real MVPs, their foster parents Jen & Jon. When it felt like the world was ending, they said YES to TWO more foster dogs, giving them 3 with our rescue 🙌🏼 Jax, Jilly & Jasper all live together ❤️ Let’s find these babies a home!

📣 FOSTER HOMES NEEDED 📣

We are currently in need of a few foster homes this week. Fostering is very rewarding, we supply everything they need and you get the first chance to adopt! 🥳

Fosters must be within an hour of Tampa or Sarasota (basically from Hernando County down to Sarasota) to get to our vet clinics. All pets in your home must be fixed, current on vaccines and on prevention.

Dogs in need:

🖤 Milton: 2 year old black male Standard Poodle - currently lives with dogs, cats and kids. He will be groomed as soon as we get him.

🐕 Gracie: 7 year old female purebred rough coat Jack Russell Terrier. Needs to be the only dog in a quiet home without kids.

🖤: 1 more male Poodle possibly coming in!

Meet Lily! 🌸

The tiniest, sweetest girl is ready for her forever home. Lily is a 3 year old miniature Australian Shepherd and only weighs 21.4lbs. She’s an absolute doll that we can’t get enough of! 💕

Lily absolutely loves women and will be glued to a female owner. She takes a little time to warm up to men and larger dogs, but she does warm up and loves them too. She’s house trained, crate trained and actually loves her crate. She’s good on a leash, good in the car and just perfect. She would love a fenced backyard to zoom around in, but it isn’t a must 🐶

She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. Her adoption fee is $400 and she’s in the Tampa area (Hudson/Pasco County).

FREEDOM RIDE! 🥳

What’s better than a freedom ride and getting a dog out of a shelter? We can’t think of anything better ☺️

Little Tessa found herself as a stray recently and was caught in a trap, taken to the shelter and was so scared in her kennel. We picked her up and she opened right up - look at that smile her first night in her foster home ❤️

We’re so proud of our girl! 💖

Today, Piper had her first trip to a brand new Lowe’s and out for a stroll at Starkey Market in Odessa. She did AMAZING! 🙌🏼

Piper is only about 10 months old and hasn’t experienced much of the world yet, but we can already tell that she is going to be a fabulous dog to take everywhere with you. She is smart, well mannered, gentle and stunningly beautiful 💕

She trotted through the store like she had been there a million times, greeted employees and gently took treats from them. She loves car rides and happily jumped back in the car to go home.

Piper LOVES other dogs and running to stretch her long legs. She would love a home with another playful dog and a fenced yard, but if you are active and will socialize her with other dogs regularly, let’s chat! She’s a perfect dog to be someone’s sidekick 👯‍♀️

She’s spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and heartworm negative. She has a very low maintenance coat that barely sheds (if any), doesn’t mat and doesn’t really grow. She’s likely a Labradoodle or Schnauzer-Poodle and is about 45lbs but still growing; she will be bigger. Her adoption fee is $400.

Meet Latte 🤎

This beautiful 9 month old Standard Poodle puppy was born on January 22nd of this year and is ready to find his forever home! ☕️

Latte is GREAT with other dogs and is very much a poodle 🐩 He walks great on a leash, is very smart and benefits greatly from both mental and physical exercise. He is a little timid when you first meet him, but he’s nothing but sweet and gentle ❤️ He’s a really great houseguest.

However, he has one main request: lots of safe chew bones! 🦴 See picture - he loves them 😂

Since he is young, he would do best with someone who is home often and would love a doggy playmate. Older children who can calmly interact would be fine, but small kids would scare him. He is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is also crate trained and house trained. His adoption fee is $600 and he’s in Tampa.

I am housebroken and crate trained, although it's not my favorite. I would do best with an active human or family, because I love to play. This sweet little boy came to us about two months ago after being seen walking the streets looking terrible, but he had no clue he was suffering. He was happy and just looking for friends, which is a perfect testament to his spirit. Nothing could bring this happy boy down ☺️

This beauty is Chanel, a 3 year old, 18lb miniature Poodle whose personality is as amazing as her good looks. She’s sweet, playful and loving. We absolutely adore her! 💞

Her only flaw is that she has very early-stage cataracts. It is not affecting her now and she has full vision, but in a few years she may need cataract surgery to maintain her vision. She does not need anything now or in the near future and is a very healthy girl!

Chanel’s ideal home would have a playful but gentle dog to be her buddy. However, if you have a dog-loving cat that she can snuggle with, even better! 🐱

We got the two little matted girls! 🥳 👯‍♀️

They are the SWEETEST, snuggliest, cutest little 8lb & 9lb dogs 🥰 We spent hours shaving them, which they tolerated really well, even though it was likely their first time being groomed. Their fur had hardened like a cast and was even matted over one eyeball. But from this point forward, we’re determined to have them be pampered and spoiled 💖

We received several foster applications and thought we had it covered, but we don’t. Some of the applications changed their minds, some are out of town, some had intact dogs, etc. We’re shocked that we still need a foster home! We have one girl covered and need ONE more foster, preferably in the Tampa Bay Area since they are in Lutz right now.

They came to us as Selena & Annie, but we are looking for name ideas too ☺️

This boy really is the ultimate package and we have been so surprised by the lack of interest in him. Yeti is a beautiful two year old male liver spotted Dalmatian with a sad back story and the absolute best personality and temperament ever. He would quite honestly succeed in almost any home environment - he’s just that good of a boy! Yeti has SO much love to give, and he will make the right family soooo happy!

🎉 FUN FOSTER HOME NEEDED! 🎉

Rusty is looking for a new place to crash. He’s a super good boy who is young and wants to play. He’s currently in foster care with all older dogs, but needs a place where he can be himself and have fun!

Rusty is only about 1-1.5 years old and around 45lbs. He loves to wrestle and chase with other dogs and explore the backyard. Did we mention he’s also good with cats? 🐱 That’s hard to find!

His ideal home would have another young dog and a fenced yard 🐕 But if you love Rusty and don’t have those, we’re still open to seeing if you’re home could be a fit for him.
