We will be there at 10:00AM TOMORROW with several of our beautiful dogs for you to meet ☺️ You can expect to see Jack, Brandy, Maya, Twizzler, Dixie, Rusty, Romeo and maybe other surprise dogs! 🐶

Gulfport’s Get Rescued Animal Rescue Festival & Fun-raiser returns for its 21st year on Saturday, February 22, 2025, from 10am to 5pm at Beach Boulevard S in Gulfport, Florida.

The event will feature:
• Up to 50 animal rescue groups
• Pet friendly vendors featuring animal related products, crafts, artwork and other curious treats
• Pet care education
• A pet food and supplies drive
• Animal training demos
• The Florida Weiner Dog Derby
• Fun-raising raffles
• Local shops, restaurants and more

All leashed people and well-behaved pets are welcome. There is no admission fee to attend and plenty of convenient complimentary parking will be available throughout the area.

We feel this, as we know many of our adopters have felt this pain.

The important thing is that the dogs we have lost would want for each of us to open our hearts and homes to help another dog in need, regardless of the pain and loss we might feel.

So please consider doing so, and helping another dog in honor of one you have lost. Or just helping one to help another. ❤️

Dogs die. But before they do, they live.
They live brave, beautiful lives. They protect their families with unwavering loyalty. They love us with a fierceness that knows no bounds. They fill our days with joy, our homes with warmth, and our hearts with light.
Dogs don’t waste time worrying about tomorrow. They live fully in the moment—chasing balls, napping in sunbeams, and wagging their tails at the simple sound of our voices. They teach us how to love without conditions and how to find happiness in the little things.
So yes, dogs die. But before they do, they give us everything they have. And that’s why their love stays with us long after they’re gone.

Update: Foster found!

🚨 URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED! 🚨

This sweet female Husky was found as a stray last week. She had a seizure with the finder on Thursday morning, did not have any over the weekend and now just had another seizure this morning 😭 The video of it is heartbreaking.

We are getting her to the shelter and likely straight to a full service clinic to get help, but we NEED a home for her. We can’t help her without a foster home 😔 Seizures are usually controlled with medication and we hope that hers will be.

If you are in the Tampa Bay Area down to Sarasota and can help her, PLEASE let us know and fill out our foster application. We provide all of the supplies. She’s tiny, only 36lbs, and very sweet and gentle.

Is there anything more gorgeous? 😍

We are in LOVE with our boy, Whiskey! 🥃 To say he’s a showstopper is an understatement. He’s simply amazing!

Whiskey just turned 2 years old on February 7th and is roughly 130-140lbs. He is a stunning Fawnequin Great Dane whose personality is as good as his looks ❤️

💖 URGENT FOSTER HOME NEEDED! 💖

LucyLou’s foster mom has a family emergency and has to fly out today. We need somewhere for this puppy to go!

About her:
💓 Just a puppy, about 10 months old
🐩 She was found as a skeletal 12lbs and now weighs 25lbs, but is still on a weight gain journey!
💓 We think she is a mini Goldendoodle
🐩 She is a PUPPY - this means she has accidents, is still working on housetraining, wakes up with tons of energy and wants to play.
💓 She loves people and other dogs
🐩 Needs someone home more often than not

LucyLou is in Clearwater currently. Fosters need to be in the greater Tampa Bay Area down to Sarasota and get the first chance to adopt when she’s ready. We provide the supplies.

Update: Pepper has been adopted! Puka is seeking a home with another dog, older kids or no kids and opportunities for socialization to help her come out of her shell 🐾

Puka & Pepper 💞

We have two amazing, young new doodle girls in our rescue! 💓 They are not a pair, are not bonded and will be adopted out separately.

🐩 Puka - she is a white, 1 year old Standard Poodle & Great Pyrenees mix and 56lbs. She’s very friendly and great with other dogs, but she is the more timid one (with people) of the two. She relies heavily on a canine bestie 🐶

🐕 Pepper - she is a red, 1.5 year old Goldendoodle and 44lbs. She’s more vocal, very friendly and also loves other dogs. She loves to fetch! ⚽️

Both girls would do best with another dog in the home and a fenced yard, but especially Puka. They are both house-trained and crate-trained and are wonderful, loving girls.

They are spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. They have been sweet with kids in a previous home, but have not been cat tested. They are in Sarasota and their adoption fees are $500 each.

SHE DID IT! 🥳

Millie finished heartworm treatment today! 🙌🏼 As always, we couldn’t do this without the amazing team at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay 🎉

In case you didn’t know, heartworms are transmitted by mosquitoes (which FL is full of!) and heartworm disease can be fatal. A simply monthly tablet or chewable can prevent them from being infected. Please talk to your vet about this! 👩‍⚕️

Millie has another 4-6 weeks of restricted activity ahead of her after receiving heartworm injections and then she will be looking for her forever home ❤️

💓 Can you help Journey? 💓

A few weeks ago, we welcomed beautiful Journey into our rescue and she went to one of our amazing foster homes. However, their work schedules have amped up and they are now gone 10-12+ hours per day 😢 Journey has tolerated it well, but it’s very hard on a young, playful dog 💔

Journey is about to start heartworm treatment at the Humane Society in Tampa, so we need her to stay in the greater Tampa Bay Area preferably. This is not transferable to your dogs.

About Journey:
🐕 She is GREAT with all size dogs and cats!
💓 Super friendly and cuddly
🐕 She’s tiny - only 34lbs! She looks bigger in photos.
💓 Fully house-trained and crate-trained
🐕 Journey is a flight risk, but is a normal, playful dog at home. The risk is when transporting her, which we will help with.

✅ Firm requirements: another playful dog, fenced yard, no kids who could let her out and someone home often. She LOVES to wrestle with dogs 🐶

We will provide all of her supplies and give you the tools to keep her safe. You are welcome to just foster her to help her out or fall in love and adopt her 💓 Either way is great!

Meet Luna! 🌙

Little Luna joined our rescue recently and is the cutest little Pomsky 🐶 If you don’t know, that’s a Pomeranian and Siberian Husky mix. She’s like a mini Husky at just 23lbs!

About Luna:

💓 Just turned 1 on January 8th
🌟 She’s full of puppy energy and needs an active owner
💓 She is fully house-trained and crate-trained
🌟 When her foster leaves, she is gated off in a den with a crate, dog bed and couch and has never chewed anything
💓 She’s great with other dogs, but would be fine as an only dog too

Luna is just a puppy and needs a home full of toys and ready to play with her. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. She’s in Clearwater and her adoption fee is $400.

Surprise! Another Golden Retriever!

Boken is an 8 year old male and he’s a big hunk of Golden love! 💛 Don’t let his short fur fool you, he’s 100% Golden Retriever - his former owner unfortunately had him shaved down to his skin so his fur is only just starting to grow back. Boken is a big boy, weighing around 80lbs, and he could definitely afford to lose a few pounds.

Boken may be 8, but you’d never know that if you met him. He has the energy of a 2 year old, and he loves to play and soak up all the love and attention he can get. He has been great with dogs, but if he goes to a home with another dog it would be best for that dog to be mellow and patient, as Boken can be a lot sometimes 😂. He would, however, be perfectly content being an only dog as well. He is house trained, crate trained, and he has been working through a training program for leash walking skills and social manners.

Boken is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and ready to go home! He is fostered in Parrish, Florida and his adoption fee is $200. Meet Banjo! 🪕

The sweetest, easiest little boy 💙 Banjo is 4 years old and a perfect small/medium dog at just 27lbs. He is supposedly a pug/boston terrier mix, but he looks like a pug/beagle mix. Either way, he's adorable!

He may not be a fluffy little dog or have curly hair, but we promise he’s one of the BEST behaved dogs in our rescue and the sweetest companion. He's great with all dogs, housetrained and cratetrained. On top of that - he's treat motivated, playful, affectionate and loves all toys. He's such a great boy! 🐾

Can anyone help this tiny girl? 💖

Isabel is a 12.2lb mini poodle mix who was rescued from Mexico. She is super sweet and pretty energetic for being an older adult dog. She’s estimated at 7, but could be older. Either way, she’s absolutely adorable! 💕

We are looking for a foster in the Tampa Bay Area who has the ability to get her to our vet in Tampa because she already has appointments scheduled. She is great with other dogs and people and is just a gem! 💎

Update: ADOPTED TOGETHER! 🥳😍

We weren’t kidding the other day when we said it’s been raining GOLD around here! 💛💛

A little over a week ago we were made aware of six Golden Retrievers whose owner had suddenly passed away. Unfortunately, the owner did not have a plan for their dogs and they were at risk of ending up in a shelter. As soon as we heard about the situation, we started making plans to get all six of them to us and into foster homes. Minnie, Jack, and Journey - who we shared a few days ago - came alongside Buddy, Molly, and Riley, who are all fostered together. After spending some time with Buddy and Molly, it has become pretty clear that these two need each other and we would LOVE to find them an adoptive home together!

Buddy is a 4 year old male, and Molly is a 5 year old female. Buddy is neutered, and Molly is set to be spayed in the next few weeks - they are both microchipped and up to date on vaccines. They are both a deep red and truly as beautiful as they could possibly be. They are typical Goldens who love everyone. Their butts do not stop wiggling, and they love to cuddle with each other and their people. They’re great with other dogs, but we do not know how they would be with cats. Their foster family has children and they’ve been perfect with them! They are crate trained and house trained, but they have not had much experience walking on a leash prior to coming to us, so they will need some work on this. To put it simply, Buddy and Molly are a dream come true for any Golden lover! 💛

Lisa ❤️

A few weeks ago, we posted Lana, who waited forever to be adopted and we had such a great response. Well, Lisa is Lana’s niece (she’s Lucy’s daughter) and is now the LAST ONE from a group of poodle moms we rescued on May 28th. It’s been 8 long months with only ONE adoption meet & greet 😭

Lisa is a beautiful, rare silver beige Standard Poodle. Her flaw is that she’s shy and not a social butterfly, but she is always well mannered. She’s most comfortable at home, sprawled out on the couch or exploring the backyard and will gladly sleep in bed with you. She’s amazing with dogs and THRIVES in a pack of dogs, but one is fine too. She’s also cat friendly! 🐱

Lisa just isn’t the kind of dog who will show you that she likes you right away, she’s stand off ish. But if you give her a chance and bring her home with your dogs, little by little she will show you that she loves you ❤️ She’s a very loyal best friend.

Lisa is only 4 years old, around 53lbs, housetrained and crate-trained. She requires a fenced yard, another dog to be her friend and an adult only home. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, in St. Petersburg and her adoption fee is $250.

After 8 long months, let’s find Lisa a HOME! 🏠 We know we can do it! 🎉

Barry needs a home! ❤️

Our sweet boy is sitting in a boarding facility and really needs a foster or forever home as soon as possible. He was recently neutered, has some swelling and needs to recover in a home ❤️‍🩹

Barry is a 2 year old, 30lb mini doodle of some kind 🖤 He’s spunky, high energy, very friendly, affectionate and a wonderful boy. Did we mention he’s high energy and super playful? 🤪

Barry is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped and heartworm negative. He is excellent for grooming and it’s worth mentioning because we were impressed! He is in Trinity (Pasco/NW Tampa area) and his adoption fee is $350. He needs to be the only dog in the home right now.

🚨 URGENT - EMMA NEEDS OUR HELP! 😭

We are crushed. Our sweet Emma was adopted back in 2022 and was just returned to us today 💔 Emma has an autoimmune disorder and is suffering. She is extremely itchy, her wounds are inflamed and leaking and our amazing vet team at Sarasota Animal Hospital is doing everything they can to get her comfortable, but it will take time.

Emma is at our vets office for tonight only. We need a home for her to land in tomorrow. She was great with dogs with us back in 2022, but she has lived as an only dog since then. She’s a very friendly girl, 3 years old and 65lbs. We included photos of her as a puppy 🥺

Her care right now will involve oral medications, regular baths, clean bedding and clean clothing to cover her skin. We’re ordering her a long sleeve surgical suit, but she will need more.
