We have reopened with a few new additions! Fannie’s Housecall Pet Grooming is now available to accept clients at the salon on most Fridays. Give her a call to book directly at (941) 315-8150.

Many of you have met Dakota, the Cocker Spaniel. Now, we have Otis, the Bichipoo! Otis is a lovable redhead and is rejoining the family for a bit.

Due to Hurricane Milton, Sarasota Grooming Company is temporarily closed. Although the shop is intact and needs some cleaning it is still without power. All appointments through October 16th are cancelled. If your appointment was cancelled, it will be rescheduled as soon as it is feasible. Otherwise, I will notify you as soon as I am able to open and operate the shop safely.

My thoughts are with you as we work through this very tough time. I am grateful to not have suffered as much as many of my neighbors, clients and friends. I thank all of you who have reached out to me to check on my well being.

Message from Yvette. Pardon our Dust - Again!!!

I have begun repairs of the damages sustained due to the torrential rains from Hurricane Ian (and the months after). During the repairs all grooming at the 2051 Reynolds facility is limited to rear portion of the facility. Please use the Ring doorbell when entering, then wait at the gate - I will be up momentarily. KEEP ALL PUPS ON LEASH or IN HAND. It may take a moment, but I will let you know that I am aware you are waiting at the front. Also, I may have a pup in hand that needs to be secured before coming to greet you - your continued patience is much appreciated! (If you do not hear from me in a few minutes, please feel free to use the intercom or use the Ring doorbell, again).

At some point I may need to use the rear entry for a day or two. I will let you know in advance if the rear entry is in use.

After an extended medical leave, Yvette has finally returned to full time work. Still healing but working (almost) a full time schedule, Yvette is able to ACCEPT (a few) NEW CLIENTS! This is a rare opportunity to join the Sarasota Grooming Company family, so make your appointment soon!

New clients, due to the amount of spam phone calls for a quicker response please submit appointment requests via our website or via Facebook messenger. Keep in mind that Yvette is likely grooming during business hours and messages will be returned at the end of the day. Also, while there are a few available appointments, Yvette may not be available to personally accommodate every pet. When this happens, she can usually direct you to a groomer within this facility or in our area that can meet your specific needs.

Pardon our dust!

We will soon begin repair of the damages sustained due to the torrential rains from Hurricane Ian. Grooming at the 2051 Reynolds facility will continue as scheduled and we will notify you in advance should there be any we need to make an adjustments to your already scheduled appointment(s). While we expect little to no interruption in services, we will keep you updated should that change. As contractors and supplies are at a premium and we do expect this process to take a few months.

The 2051 Reynolds Street grooming facility was damaged due to hurricane Ian and is currently closed. Repairs will soon commence. In the meantime, we have secured temporary space thanks to Lavish Dog Spa located at 3916 Central Sarasota Parkway, Sarasota, Fl. Sarasota Grooming Company, Sandy Pawz Grooming, and The Bark Station SRQ will be operating inside of Lavish Dog Spa, which is located directly next door to Kohls on Central Sarasota Parkway.

Please be patient as we may ask to adjust some appointment times to accommodate everyone, and we thank you in advance for your continued support.

We are a busy facility and serious about our business. You must be dependable, eager to exceed in your craft, have personal equipment (scissors, clippers, etc.), be drama and drug free. Duties include check-in, check-out, bath, dry, full groom and clean-up. Be prepared to provide a photo and written resume of your work experience. Recent groom school grads (Merryfield, Nash, Paragon, etc.) needing work on speed are welcome.

Groomer - Booth Rental full time exclusive space.

Stop waiting and start owning your own grooming business. When you rent a grooming suite you not only become your own boss, you get to control your schedule, set your prices, keep more profits, and customize your suite to you and your clientele and grow your brand.

Each grooming suite is equipped with Comfort Groom ultra-low electronic lift table, workstation, and storage. To rent a grooming suite, you will need a business license, your personal grooming tools, point of sale system, and industry specific liability insurance.

We provide a grooming suite for your exclusive use, signage, access and use of the bathing and drying areas, operating overhead expenses including landline and wi-fi, and access to high end products. Although this is a busy facility and other groomers may send you referrals, this is strictly booth rental and you are responsible for your own marketing and sourcing of clients.

This is a very lucrative structure for the business minded groomer. There are two ways to make money in this industry - more dogs or less expenses. Stop wearing yourself out grooming 10 dogs a day and start making more money doing just 6 dogs a day.

Covid-19 social distancing floor plan is required, including curb side service and the use of face masks in all common areas. Additionally, we are holding off on cosmetic upgrades to the floors until such time that we end curb side service.

At Sarasota Grooming Company your pet’s appearance, overall wellness, and safety is always the focus of our commitment to service. Groomer and owner, Yvette Cooley received her formal training at the renowned Merryfield School of Pet Grooming, located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, under the supervision and guidance of nationally and internationally acclaimed Certified Master Groomers, competitive groomers and AKC Breeders. She is a member of the National Dog Groomer’s Association of American, an A.K.C. Certified Safe Groomer, and PetTech trained and current in pet first aid and CPR. Having mastered pet trims and A.K.C. breed profile trims, Yvette continues to pursue excellence through workshops and grooming expositions and will soon begin the rigorous testing required to achieve the designation of Certified Master Groomer herself. Yvette trained under former owner, Nicole Kallish, for several months prior to assuming ownership of the shop.
