It’s been a busy week at the the Shih Tzu Castle 🏰
Bunny Bee ✈️ flew to NE, Officer Pickles is on Duty in SRQ, Tiny Tuxedo Boy is flying ✈️ to TX tomorrow and Buttercup is packing her bags for her flight ✈️ to KY this weekend. Just a few baby boys 🩵 left to find homes and that’ll be a wrap for the sound of pitter-patter baby Shih Tzu paws until Fall. ❤️

Emmy’s litter has some of the tiniest Shih Tzu puppies I’ve ever had. A couple born under 3oz, that just now hit 1.0lb at 6.5 weeks old.
I will be very picky on where these tinies go. More pics to come - black puppies are sooo hard to photograph! 🤣

This is a long overdue post and update to my puppy families, I apologize for that, but I’ve never been one to blindly recommend something without first trying and completely believing in it myself.

Having so many dogs I frequently get asked about feeding- how, when, what… So, here’s the deal. For the better part of the last 28 years I worked in dogs full time, clinic/kennel/grooming/retail/foster/rescue/rehab/breeding.
At one point we retailed over 25 brands of food. Over the years I have attended dozens of seminars, vet conferences, product knowledge and nutritional classes and webinars, toured some of the cleanest processing facilities in the country. I learned that the majority of the time we believe that our dogs have a specific allergy that we are either wrong - or in the case of true allergies, it changes in 6 months.
I also realized the struggle to find the “perfect” one for all food.
I have always had a pack of dogs. We currently have more than a dozen dogs, plus litters in our pack that range in ages from 6mo. to 16yrs, from 3.5lbs to 70lbs.
I fed Fromm to my pack for more than 15 years. I had zero complaints. Loved the idea that with their formulas I could switch the protein/bag flavor a few times a year, gaining the benefits of each with no GI issues.
After a lot of scrutiny from peers on Fromm not being “highly rated” (aka not contributing financially to) to the WSAVA study, I caved and transitioned everyone to Royal Canin a couple of years ago.
I was not completely impressed.
A few of my most admired dog loving friends recommended I try TLC food. 🐾
I am in month 5 of feeding my entire pack (and litters) TLC and can say that I am impressed!!
I can feed one formula to ALL of my dogs! 🙌🏻 BONUS is that they all love it and have no GI issues. TLC also has great incentives for Breeders, Rescues and new families of my puppies.
It’s not “cheap” but it’s less expensive than Royal Canin, Fromm and the better foods out there. It ships to me direct, fresh, with no middle man/big box outlet taking a cut.
I’m so glad to have found it!!!

🩵The only baby boy in Snoop & Dino’s litter is also the only one still looking for his forever lap.
He is a true potato! Roly-poly, round, little compact body, full of love and kisses! I just might cry when he leaves me.
He’s AKC, has had a vet exam, 1st vaccines, he is microchipped, has a current health certificate and is ready to go to the very best home as early as this weekend.
I expect him to lighten up considerably as he matures, hopefully he’ll keep his Daddy’s black mask. ❤️
