CONGRATS Bobby!!🐶 Winner of our December Pet of the Month!!🐾
This is one lucky guy and we loved reading his story:
This is my Laddie Bobby, he just turned 8 years old. We rescued each other when he was 18 months old, I was his 4th home. He arrived with no vet care, emaciated and practically hairless due to allergies. He had no training at all (except for punishment crate training) along with a host of fear aggressive behaviors. Our first couple of years consisted of untraining the negatives and training the positives. We are lucky to have a large family of Aunties, Uncles and Doggo friends, many are at Chow Bella. He has progressed from a scared, aggressive little dog, to being named Mayor of Chow Bella! He enjoys having his picture taken in front of the seasonal banners. He independently heads for the platform and strikes a pose...what a Diva! His favorite pastime is moving one by one to his human friends for a butt rub. If you are REALLY good at it, he may do the "Bobby Butt Scratch Dance." Being a Chihuahua/Jack Russell there is NOTHING that gets by Bobby on our street. He cheerfully brings my attention to ALL activities. His biggest disappointment in life now is when a delivery truck comes down our street...and doesn't stop!!! He is my Velcro baby and MUST be under the covers or throws always. We recently learned that Bobby has Diabetes. Our wonderful friends at Springs Family Veterinary Hospital have seen a lot of us lately. He is making progress and doing well. We will concur this obstacle as we have the others, with patience, compassion and love. Bobby and I are a team. ❤️

It's National Senior Pet Health Month!! 🐶🐾🐱 We are bringing extra awareness to geriatric comfort and pain relief by asking our clients to complete a brief pain assessment before coming for an appointment. Acute pain is often easily recognizable, but did you know that moderate or chronic pain is much more difficult to detect? Thanks in advance for completing the assessments and helping us to keep your pets comfortable in their golden years! 😽

CONGRATS Kasper!! 🐶 Winner of our November Pet of the Month!! 🤩🐾🥳🐾

This guy is living his BEST life!! His owner shared some fun info about him:
Kasper, what can I say? He’s my boy and my best friend. My camping buddy and bear spooker! Turning three this month marks a year and a half I’ve had this handsome boy, and we’ve come so far with him. His anxiety matches mine and I like to think we help each other. If I’ve learned anything with him, it’s patience, and it has been worth every second. If you think he’s scary I can show you 1000 pictures of this big baby to prove otherwise! Even if I wake up with half my pillow and no blankets, I wouldn’t trade him for world. Fun facts:
--He’s got so much attitude and sass that he’ll argue back with you (I think that’s the bit of husky in him).
--He loves sticks and balls, and anything ball-shaped is a ball (example: watermelon which he also enjoys eating!).
--Noting on his love for ball-shaped things, he collects rocks, and we helped him over his fear of water by luring him in with them. Now he swims when he was once petrified!
--He demands to be under the blankets when it’s time for bed! If I don’t help him under, he’ll throw the blankets with his nose until I let him under with me.
--And lastly- sirens. Every siren he hears (mostly fire trucks), and even the ones on the t.v. will result in a long drawn out howl until the siren has passed.
