Audrey Hepburn is credited as saying: “Nothing is impossible, the very word says I’m Possible!”
We need to do the impossible!!
In December two special pups came to us through contacts with Alfie’s Rescue. No one else would take them. They’d been outside for who knows how long, kept outside in the cold. The sores on their legs were evidence that they’d been sleeping on someplace hard and inhospitable. We took them in and named them Holly & Berry in the holiday spirit.
Since then we’ve loved, cared and protected them as our own, using our own resources to get them checked out by a vet, rabies vaccines, food and necessities.
These two girls turned out to be two of the most cuddly, affectionate, playful, squishable, lovable pups I’ve ever known. They are true goofballs and just want to give kisses, be cuddled, and lay someplace warm…together. They are bonded.
But no one has expressed any interest in them. Why? Because it supposedly impossible to adopt siblings together. It’s impossible to adopt two pups at once. It’s impossible to adopt dogs who aren’t fixed yet.
I know it’s a lot to take on. It’s a $300 adoption fee but Aardvark Pet Sitting is offering a $600 rebate after they are fixed, and if they ever need to be boarded with us you’ll only pay for one dog! As their foster pups of the month, Saratoga Honda is offering $250 Bensons gift card upon adoption.
Can we do the impossible? Can we find a family for these two amazing girls?? I think there’s someone out there who can give these girls the love they deserve!
