When you care for a super senior dog their quality and quantity of life is always on your mind. They struggle to eat, move, and do every day activities and you wonder if it’s “time”? You struggle to support them and care for them- cleaning up accidents, feeding them by hand, helping them in and out of the house and it weighs on your heart. You want to give them every chance to live life but don’t want them to suffer.
Caesar came to us in January. We thought he had a few weeks, maybe months left. Now he’s 15 1/2 and still going. He’s a bit rough around the edges, and he struggles, but his reaction to meeting 5 month old Aurora today showed me he has a spark of life left. It’s not “time”, at least not today. We will love him every minute he’s with us.
Best buds!
Snoopy loves Roscoe!
It’s “turn back the clock” weekend so here’s a four year wagon flashback!
Another throw back- 4 boys- one stick!
Five years ago but worth bringing back!
Caesar!
Caesar counts his blessings and hopes to count one more when he finds his forever home!
Rescued from a hoarding situation, his owner who loved him, but couldn’t care for him. He was taken out of a devastating situation: an unclean house full of cigarette smoke, with little room to walk or be healthy. We expected he had weeks left when he came to us- in January!
Now he loves life lounging in his bed, wandering the yard with other dogs, and following us around waiting for ear scratches…and his forever home.
Most people would overlook this sweet soul- but we’re looking for that special person who wants to give him the best life for whatever time he has left.
