This is how our gal Octavia hangs out at adoption events waiting to be noticed! 8 years old and 100 lbs! She's loves meeting people and playing with toys!

We know she's not little or young but she is very deserving of a forever home. She's been waiting for a few years now. 🥹

STOP giving free dogs away. This pup didn't deserve the two weeks of torture as a bait dog that he received. Please stop putting your pets on Facebook and Craigslist. These are hot spots for people looking for bait dogs and cats. -------Thank you again for sharing and getting the word out.!!!!🙏

Athena is a female, 2 years 9 months old, 45 lbs. She is spayed and has her vaccines, hw negative. We got from Desert Haven Rescue and she has been with Shelteramutt 10 months that’s 316 days.

Hi everyone I am Athena.
I am a big ball of energy. I get extremely excited to see my humans. I love to play. I've done great in play groups in the play yard. I am house and crate trained. But can have an accident if I get to excited. Fireworks frighten me. I am great on a leash and off. Good with adults and teens. Unknown about youngsters. I love hiking. I love playing catch. I do great in the pool. Camping was fun. I really would love my own family.

Say yes give me a chance you won't be disappointed. Just please remember the 3, 3's with me. I don't mind hot or cold weather either.

I’m sure everyone has been wondering what I’ve been doing. No secret. Just giving my dogs a very secure bigger place to play. My dogs live inside with me. Sleep with me. Chill with me. We don’t bother anyone and don’t want anyone to bother us. We just wanna live out our life in peace and comfort. That is all.

So for the past several months I have been doing construction at my home. I wanted to give my dogs more room to run and play. While it isn’t complete they seem to be enjoying it. They live inside, do not disturb the neighbors and are very secure. I went to a lot of expense to insure that. But they get to go outside and play. I had to go on disability due to health problems and enjoy just sitting outside with them and watching them enjoy what I built. They have a fire hydrant to pee on, lots of grass, and a ball pool(coming) and a water pool(coming). The fire hydrant has a hollow inside so I can hide treats in there. Most of my dogs are seniors and I look forward to spending time with them as I am a senior myself.

“Leo” my Lama Animal Rescue Foster 13 weeks after he came here. He was in horrible shape and could barely stand. Well he is not the same dog. He craves attention, and is strong as a bull now. This is the Power of Rescue.

Here is just a sample of the amazing work Tiffany Colley has done for me the past couple of weeks. She installed 16 security lights, built and designed flower beds, stained the front of my portable building, and has trimmed trees, weed eated and got my yard looking better than it ever has. Leo got his first bath in medicated shampoo tonight. I wanted him to get stronger and gain some weight first. He did great! He’s gained about 10 pounds and feels so much better! #lamaanimalrescue #goleo

Lumberjack Rescue and Friends was established in November, 2011 by myself. We are an All Breed Rescue. We do not discriminate by Breed. We are located in Northwest Louisiana in the town of Sarepta, La. about 50 miles NE of Shreveport, La. We focus on our Parish of Webster, but try to help wherever we can. To date we have Rescued, rehabilitated, adopted, and Transported over 3600 abused, abandoned, and neglected Dogs and Puppies from our Local Area and beyond. We have adopted Dogs in 30 States across the United States. Our Rescue Facility is small, but the numbers speak for themselves of those we have helped. We are NO KILL, except in cases of Severe Agression, or Suffering. We are an Approved 501C3 Non Profit since April, 2014. All Donations and Expenses are quantified by our CPA and Donations are Tax Deductible. While we do not have the Facilities to care for Cats or horses, we have worked with Local Law Enforcement in Abuse Cases, and our Rescue Friends, to find them homes also.
