Everything is coming together and I couldn’t be more grateful for everyone who has been there along the way!
Boarding is going great and Doggie Day Care is coming in the near future(only spring though fall months).

Starting to take grooming appointments for mid September this will include trims,baths,nails, etc in my kennels! I am not looking to do fancy cuts but I know most breed trims.

Website is coming along as well, I will add pricing there and make a post this coming week! Everything is based on my availability and Trevor(husband) is my helper when needed.

Yesterday I started to learn some training from the amazing Taylor Dugan, I am so happy I get to make connections with people in Animal Care and add to my knowledge! I recommend her to anyone in search of training.

Over the years I have acquired some really great clients who feel like family as well. I am so happy to have such a great support system in my journey to owning a small business! I wouldn’t be this far without everyone of you, Thank you.❤️
It all started when I was little and grew up doing 4H learning the different requirements animals needed.
This spiraled into me going to college for Veterinary Medicine at UCC and getting my license to be a Veterinary Technician in 2021!🩺
After spending some time working on farms and pet sitting I decided this is where I should be. The closer I get to opening my kennels and grooming shop the more excited I am to get to do what I love everyday.🐴🐥🐱

🌷🐥🌻 This week is Pet Poison Prevention Week! I’ve had the opportunity to work with many veterinary clinics and emergency centers in the past on bringing awareness to pet parents on the many pet toxins this time of year and something I will continue to do! A few spring time tips 🐾💐🪺🌸

Take precaution when you’re getting your garden beds and lawn ready this spring. Fertilizers, herbicides and pesticides are most toxic if a pet gets into the bag or container. The most dangerous types of fertilizers are ones that contain iron, carbamates, organophosphates, or leftover byproducts (such as bone meal or blood meal). After treating your lawn, keep your pets off the area for the product’s recommended amount of time (typically two days).

Did you know the bulb is typically the MOST toxic part of some plants? Take precaution if your pup loves to dig around in the garden!

According to the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center, 8.3% of pet poison calls are due to exposure to household cleaning products. While we all love a good spring cleaning, make sure your products are not left out and stored away properly.

While we may love stuffing Easter baskets full of jelly beans and chocolate, they are not safe for dogs. Jellybeans may contain poisonous ingredients such as xylitol or caffeine, and chocolate contains a chemical called theobromine which is toxic to dogs. Avoid a trip to the emergency clinic by keeping Easter baskets out of your pet’s reach.

If your pet is showing signs of toxicity, they should be seen by a veterinarian immediately.

Jinx the 3 legged son who has been in our life for years, has heart problems, but sweeter than ever!

Iris my shy little rabbit we rescued last spring, who loves gardening season because she knows she’s getting some veggies.🥕

Hello my name is Jane Ortlieb, ever since I could work I knew I wanted it to be with animals! I started off babysitting and working at the boys and girls club. During that time I was apart of a 4-H group and learned so much about different animals. Working with the Cornell Cooperative Extension in Ulster County for a few years peaked my interest in going to school to be a Veterinary Technician. After college I got my license and decided to start working on my family’s farm. This tumbled into a whole new idea of pet sitting/dog walking and coming soon boarding & grooming! I have the most wonderful clients so far and can’t wait to grow larger, please contact me if you’re in need of these services. My boarding and grooming building will be arriving early spring 2024, excited to show the most love and attention to your pets!
