We attended the first show of the season. Everyone delivered impressive performances and gained significant confidence for the start of our season. All participants successfully completed the rounds we anticipated they could accomplish, and several advanced to higher levels, navigating the course with only minor adjustments needed to excel at the next level. We look forward to an outstanding show season with this team and invite anyone interested to join us for an exciting experience.

We had another great show day with the team . 2 new riders joined us this weekend- helping us rack up a record number of ribbons! Judy and Honey picked up their dressage scores. Honey has been under saddle for less than a year - but with Judy’s support she is showing like an old pro ! Oh - and I almost forgot that quarter horse cantered her first course over cross rails like a pro. She’s a little bit country and a little bit rick and roll. Amy and Envee joined us from northern Georgia- Envee is a mustang that Amy has spent a lot of time gentling and it shows - she was so relaxed and cool . Evelyn and her pony Calypso competed in their second show - both were calm cool and collected …. Congratulations to second place in your first over fences class ever ! They are on their way to being stars ⭐️. Beaudroux improved his dressage scores by 8 percentage points and eager to move up to bigger fences - my little school horse is going to be a nice show mount for my students !
I’m so pleased with how things are going here in Savannah ! Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement❤️🐴🏅

Our Story

Horse Tours offered.... 2 hour Playa and Vistas $60 per person This 2 hour tour starts at our farm with a quick intro to your horse and lesson in the ring. We then head out on the road towards Playa Junquialla. The back roads turn to wooded paths as we make our way down the coast line. In Junquialla we will enter the beach and head north. We will cross several different beaches- big open sandy, volcanic rock, and then deep white sandy beach great for a run! We then go up a hill and stop at the top for a beautiful panoramic view of the coast line and mountains. We weave thru a grassy meadow and then down an embankment back on to Playa Callejones a quaint fishing beach. Then we head back inland and finish up back at the farm. All day Southern Trek approx 5 hours $120- lunch included Riders must be experienced riders able to trot and canter. Also it is highly recommended that people who do this tour ride on a regular basis- or they will be very tired and sore by the end of the day. The southern trex is more reclusive and the beaches are almost always empty except for local fisherman. This ride has a more "guanacaste" feel. We leave the farm first thing in the morning and go directly to the beach and head south. For the first hour you will experience several different types of beaches- small beaches with palms hanging over, volcanic rock, and big open beaches which are great for a controlled gallop. We also have a river crossing an depending on the time of year- you may get to have a little swim. We ride the beaches all the way to Largatillo- a quaint fishing village. Here we will stop and have a wonderful lunch and let the horses have a rest. Afterwords we ride back up to the river crossing and enter the estuary. Here we ride thru wetlands and have an opportunity to see lots of water birds. Also we get to do a run down a shallow river bed. Then we pop out on the road and go a little ways to enter back into what we call an oxcart road. This is an old dirt road-that is not always passable for cars. It winds thru the parcellas ( parceled land used for farming). This part has a beautiful canopy and provides plenty of shade in the afternoon. This road comes out in the village of Paraiso- we ride thru town and back up the road to the farm. All day Northern Trek aprox 5 hours $120- lunch included Riders should have some riding experience and feel comfortable on a horse. All day treks are not recommended for people who may be nervous about horses- its a long day to be uncomfortable. We start at the farm and ride down to the beach directly- then head north towards playa Negra- world famous for surfing. At the end of Negra we hop into Rhancho Playa Negra a gated community for very high end and beautiful homes. WE wind thru the neighborhood and get back onto the beach at a local fishing spot. When the tide is correct we can ride pretty far out into the water. We keep going north on the beach until we get to Lola's - a famous beach front restaurant- and we keep on this big open beach until the estuary. If the tide permits we will cross this and do one more controlled gallop- then head back for lunch. After lunch we head inland to the rolling hills that connect Avellanas and Playa Negra- if time permits we can do a run up the mountain for a spectacular view of the beaches we rode in the morning. The final leg is along the road back to the farm. Over Night Trek to Nosara with a stay at the Tree Tops B&B- $750 per person This tour is for experienced and regular riders only. approximately 10 hours of riding in 2 days. This tour starts out the same as the Southern day trex- but after lunch we continue south- over Playa Marbella- a big open beach and then we weave in and out down the coast until we hit San Juanillo. The Tree Tops B and B is right on the beach. This is a nice boutique lodge with only 3 rooms. The Chef prepares a 5 course meal on their tree top balcony. AFter a good night sleep- we have a healthy breakfast and then head inland and up over a beautiful mountain. WE go down the back side thru the woods and over little streams. WE come out onto the road just outside of Nosara and we take an oxcart road thru the rice fields. WE end up in Nosara where a transport truck will pick up the horses and we ride home in the car.
