Happy Tuesday Daycare Pawrents!

Our kennel is booming 🎆 for the freedom holiday!
With boarding in high demand and daycare spaces full, we have ZERO availability until Tuesday July 9th!
If you do not have a reservation for any dates leading up to the 9th please do not bring your furkids as you will be turned away due to lack of available space.

Dogs fact Tuesday!

With summer in full swing and heat advisories frequenting, here are a few tips, tricks and facts to help keep your fur babies cool and safe!

Heat stroke can occur easily in summer months as it is more difficult for your fur coated pets to regulate their body temperature.
Short snouted and dark color coated dogs are more prone but the heat can affect all!
Some signs your dog is in need of medical attention is overly rapid breathing or high heart rate, excessive water intake, lethargy, lack of coordination or dizziness, drooling, difficulty breathing, and a deep red or purple colored tongue.

Tips to prevent over heating!
Avoid outdoor play during peak hours, limit Exercise and Water play to 10 minute increments, Provide plenty of fresh water but do not allow your pet to over consume and Provide plenty of shade!

Frozen treats like pumpkin , 🥥coconut oil and dog safe 🥜peanut butter make a great cooling snack!

Indoor play is always a great and recommended alternative!
10 minutes of brain stimulation has the same affect as 10 minutes of active digging! A treat puzzle or a training session is a great way to stimulate your furbaby indoors away from risk!

Paw Call Bailey!
Bailey is a Golden Retriever who loves to sun bath. She is an incredible friend to all! She is our longest coming daycare baby. She has been coming since our daycare started. She will chase, wrestle and occasionally find a stray ball to chase. We love Bailey so much and are so glad she still calls this place home!

Technician Tuesday Dog Fact!

Have you ever been looking at your dog’s mouth and wondered what those bumps are on the inside of their lips. It’s called their Rugal Folds. They are important evolutionary feature of canines that helps them manipulate and contain food within their mouths. Otherwise it would fall out much easier!

Technician Tuesday Dog Fact!

Roc here has figured out he can just push the ball through the fence rather than run all the way around. Traditional research attempts to compare a dog’s intelligence to that of a 2 year old child however such a comparison is unfair to a dog. Dogs can learn and remember words, puzzles and even peoples faces. Let’s not forget smell! Dogs sense of smell is impeccable and something has to process all that sniffer information. Dogs are incredibly surprising in many challenging scenarios.
