With deep sorrow one of own crossed the rainbow bridge today. You will be missed by so many Trapper!
“Trapper Dan Johnson”
Savannah Vet Clinic, Savannah MO
Trapper was born in Savannah sometime during the year of 2010. We are unaware of what life was like for him as a kitten into his young adulthood. However, in 2015, he unfortunately fell victim to a trap, hence the name so many know and love him by; ‘Trapper’.
The trap was the cause of him losing his front right leg. Once rescued and on the mend, he found sanctuary here at Savannah Vet Clinic by Dr. Doug Johnson, where he has lived out the remainder of his life.
Trapper could always be found on the bench in the front entry, or on the counter upon check out. No one who entered or exited could do so without sharing affection with Trapper. He was there to comfort those who had suffered loss, give a loving purr to each and every child that embraced him, and even would help some write their checks with his friendly head butts.
One thing is certain, whoever had the blessing of meeting him, left with a smile on their face and a fond memory of the beloved gray cat. He had many nicknames: Tripod, Three Legs, Trapper Dan the Man, TrapMan, just to name a few.
Trapper crossed the Rainbow Bridge on Tuesday, May 6th, 2025. He was loved so much and will forever be missed by all of us at Savannah Vet Clinic; Dr. Doug Johnson (Marsha), Dr. Tyler Rolofson (Devan), Kaelyn Johnson, Brandy Wall, Hannah Wyble, Stormy Lawson, Sammy Walker, Hunter Valasek, and Sandra Bruce.
He will live on in the hearts of those who loved him. He may be gone, but he will never be forgotten. 2010-2025. RIP Trapper
