If you own a horse in Oklahoma and have youth who compete in any event- be aware of the proposed Bill SB 776.
This bill, if passed, will require anyone under the age of 18 to wear a protective helmet when riding a horse. This is a major overreach in government control! For hundreds of years this hasn’t been needed for hundreds of thousands of young adults participating in Rodeo, 4-H, horse shows, and other performance horse events.
Our nation was founded on self governance and limited government not overreaching mandates. That’s how California operates, not Oklahoma. Government is best which governs least.

If you’re looking for one to hook to show calves I can hook him up to a roping steer and see how he does but I think he’ll be fine since he’s been pulling colts around. He can be hard to catch if not messed with regularly. Stands tied. Loads in the trailer. My kids started breaking him to ride. He doesn’t buck and rides ok for a donkey if you can pull him around.
