UPDATE: 7/6 345 PM. I just spoke to the vet. The last 2 cats hospitalized are not doing well. Miriam is still showing neurological symptoms and Sammie can not breath in room air. We made the decision to keep them one more night which will bring the bill to $14,000.00. Neither will survive being released tonight. Please continue to share. We have a long way to go. This family has already lost too much. I don't want to lose 2 more family pets and have to tell their children.
Update Sunday 7/6 10:30AM:
We currently have 3 cats hospitalized. One cat is being discharged from the hospital right now and the other two, whom are in more serious condition, continue to be evaluated and treated. They will be reassessed again this afternoon at which time we will decide on further action.
To continue providing this high level, intensive veterinary care, Whiskers Rescue has approved an additional ~$4,500.00 in hospital credit--that brings us to a total of ~$13,000.00 in the past 24 hours. Your ongoing support is crucial during this time and we cannot offer this assistance without donations.

UPDATE: We are euthanizing 3 more cats. It is not clear how many are involved. One more should be hospitalized but we are nowhere near covering what will already likely be a $10,000.00 bill. At 1:00 am, it is too late for owners to find other help.
UPDATE: A fourth cats is crashing! We can not do this with out you. The estimate is already $7500 and there are 8 more affected cats. We need donations to get vet care tonight
UPDATE!!: A third cat is crashing! On the way to veg now! I will share photos in comments when they come in. So far, mom and daughter are allive. We need help ASAP!
URGENT: all hands on deck to help a voucher recipient who suffered a devastating, multi alarm apartment fire early this morning. Two of the cats are having substantial breathing difficulty and WRI has sent them to the emergency vet for treatment.
