We’re excited to announce that the beautiful and talented Elektra from Avalon will be joining our herd later this year! Elektra is a chestnut tobiano daughter of the phenomenal stallion Ísak frá Þjórsárbakka (8.61 as a four gaiter!!) and a lovely imported mare, Kolbrá frá Langholti II. Elektra was bred by Ellen Rose Parker of Avalon Icelandics and Farm. She looks quite a bit like her famous great great grandmother, Álfadís frá Selfossi. 👑⚡️🐴

This young stallion, owned by Lough Arrow II Icelandics, has the absolute sweetest demeanor and is very people-oriented. He has one 2023 foal on the ground, Flóra from Stonebird, and four foals on the way for 2024. Óðinn is by Gustur frá Stora-Vatnsskarði. 🥇

Fífla and I had an awesome time at the Klettafjalla Fun Keppni at Tamangur Icelandics this past weekend! It was so great to finally meet the northern Colorado Icy folks. The event was well-organized, well-attended, and the weather was just perfect. Fífla, who is only 5, was a little superstar and I was beaming with pride! It was a day chock full of new things for her, but she took it all in stride. We will definitely be back! 🙌

I’m pleased to report that Lýra from Stonebird had the third highest score in the Young Horse Evaluation in September! I’m so proud of all three of my 2023 foals and can’t wait to see what 2024 brings! 🥲

Brrr… it definitely got chilly here! 🥶 Luckily everyone, foals included, have been busy putting on their winter coats for a while now and are well-prepared!

Our grey filly, Tilfinning, left for her new home in Colorado on a rare grey day last week. Her new owner informed us that she and her family adore her! 🤍

Flóra, black filly, is in preschool this week learning how to lead. Fífla, buckskin mare, is wearing her fall attire very well. Her shimmering color matches the flowering sagebrush!

Good news! All three mares scanned in foal for 2024 to Óðinn frá Grenstanga. Óðinn is an imported, blue dun pinto stallion owned by Lough Arrow II Icelandics. He is calm, people-oriented, and affectionate. 💙
