Scappoose Off-Leash Dog Park

Scappoose Off-Leash Dog Park The Scappoose Off-Leash Dog Park was created by SCAPPOOSE D.O.G a community-based non-profit group, and the City of Scappoose. It is open year-round.

Contrary to what Facebook seems to think, the dog park is NOT a business. Sorry for posting issues!

OKAY, FOLKS!

When I joined with Scappoose D.O.G., (founders of our dog park) I was added as an administrator of this page. I have kept it going since the the non-profit disbanded in hopes that it was still of some interest to y'all. I hope you've enjoyed it.

That's been over 10 years now, all told, and I'm ready to pass it on or just leave it here for the photos of the dog park's community. (OBTW: You're welcome to copy any of those you may want.)

Sadly, despite years of appeals to Facebook to return to our original status, they decided to categorize this as a business page. That has made community commenting and interaction more than simply difficult, and I am very sorry about that.

One more try...
(HEY, FACEBOOK! SCAPPOOSE OFF-LEASH DOG PARK IS NOT, HAS EVER BEEN, AND WILL NEVER BE A BUSINESS. IT IS SIMPLY A COMMUNITY DOG PARK! PLEASE RESTORE IT TO A NON-BUSINESS PAGE!)

If a committed supporter of the dog park would like to become the administrator of this page (Facebook hassles included, sorry!) please contact me. I'll be leaving it in the next week or two.
Jim

Mutt Monday
This week we would like to introduce you to Rosie. This sweet, shy girl is only 9 months old, she has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations, been treated for fleas and for worms. Rosie came to the shelter and was pretty shut down. She is being very brave and it starting to come out of her shell and show us what a sweet girl she is. Right now we don't feel she would be best served living with another dog, she has a few issues that we are working with her on. She also has no exposure to cats. If you are looking for a little buddy that weighs right around 41lbs this is your girl.

If you are interested in meeting Rosie please don't hesitate to email [email protected] in order to obtain an adoption application. Once you have an approved application on file we will then schedule a meet and greet.

As we have mentioned a time or two fostering saves lives. We are currently looking for three foster homes for 7 week old puppies. The commitment will be until they are placed so it could be one week or it could be 6 weeks or maybe even longer. We know fostering is hard work, but the shelter is no place for a puppy to grow up. We view taking in puppies as a chance to change the lives of those puppies and the parent dogs for the better, but we can't do it without all of you. Please if you are interested in fostering please email [email protected]

Snoring . . . of course. Never gets old.

Mutt Monday

Hi my name is Annabelle. I’m a German Shepard Mix and am about 8 months old and weigh in at about 60 lbs. I do get along with other dogs but need a dog friend that will correct me and teach me the ropes of how to play nice and just be a dog. I don’t do good with cats as I like to chase. Because I am still young it probably wouldn’t be best for me to go with young kids because I am still learning and am going to get big. I am pretty shy when it comes to new things and need someone that is gonna show me that it will be okay. I am learning that food is really good and toys are fun to play with. I am a sweet girl and would love to meet you so please email to get an application.

If you are interested in adopting this wonderful girl we ask that you please email [email protected] in order to obtain an application. Once you have an approved application on file we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet her. Her adoption fee is $350.00 that will include her being spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas and treated for worms.
