A few weeks ago a friend and work associate, asked me if I would consider writing an essay. I said sure, "this should be easy!" After a few days of struggling to write this "easy essay", I decided that I would just start writing down words on a piece of paper. By the end of the day, this is what remained. This is why I opened a pet store back then, and this is why I will continue to open the doors everyday. I love being a part of this community, our pets are what connect us all.

My personal journey started with my dog Murphy's health challenges and focusing on the importance of finding effective solutions rather than temporary fixes for his health conditions. By experiencing firsthand the complexities of managing multiple medical conditions in a pet, I gained invaluable insight into the challenges that many pet owners face today.
My decision to open Purrz and Paws Pet Supply came with a focus on offering solutions, reflecting a deeper understanding of the needs of pet owners like me. A key factor that inspired me to venture into this business was the growing awareness of the importance of premium pet foods. I believe that our pets deserve the best nutrition possible, and I created a place that provides pet owners with high-quality, nutritious foods.
I stock my shelves with a carefully curated selection of pet food brands that have natural ingredients. Seeking out and promoting natural pet foods and treats without synthetic ingredients, like Badlands Ranch line by Kathrine Heigl. Not only is this a great opportunity, as a business owner, but it is also a great opportunity to introduce the brand Badlands Ranch. I believe in the importance of providing a balanced healthy, full, complete meal. Badlands Ranch has a phenomenal ingredient list of high-quality, whole-food ingredients and superfoods. They are transparent about ingredients, sourcing practices, and manufacturing processes, all key points.
Over the course of the last four years, I have gained the trust and respect of my customers. They know and trust that I advocate for transparency in the pet food industry. They know I ask the hard questions and don't give up until I get the answer. Transparency builds trust and allows pet owners to make informed choices about the foods they feed their pets. My advocacy for high-quality, transparent pet nutrition sets a positive example and contributes to the overall health and well-being of pets in my community.
As a pet store owner, I demonstrate my commitment to natural pet nutrition by feeding my own pets high-quality, natural foods without synthetic ingredients. Providing my customers with the confidence in me as a store owner/pet owner, that I am dedicated to providing the best for their pets as well.
Overall, my journey into the pet store business has been driven by a combination of passion, a desire to help others, and a commitment to providing pets with the best possible nutrition that I can. By offering super premium pet foods and fostering a community of pet lovers, I hope to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and their owners alike.
Purrz and Paws Pet Supply works with the local county shelter, a number of non-profits rescues, providing pet food in the weekly food bank boxes, as well as the local Senior Center, through their meals on wheels program.
