As temperatures drop, it’s important to keep your pets safe and cozy! Here are some tips to help your furry friends stay warm this winter:

❄️ Limit Outdoor Time: Even pets with thick coats can get cold. Shorten walks during extreme weather, and never leave pets outside unattended for long periods.

🐕‍🦺 Bundle Up: Small or short-haired pets benefit from coats or sweaters.

🐾 Check Their Paws: Salt and ice can irritate your pet’s paws. Wipe them down after walks to avoid discomfort and potential harm.

🧊 Watch for Frostbite: Ears, paws, and tails are vulnerable to frostbite. If you notice pale or gray skin, contact your vet immediately.

Cheddar has a side hustle helping distract dogs in the training class. So much catatude, she just walked into the room and sat down in the middle if class. That pup did a great job learning to pay attention to the handler.

I know it can be hard to leave your older more "fragile" pets. I thought I would show you a couple of the things I have seen as groomers do their best to make older dogs feel comfortable. Dani has an old dog on her lap for a nail trim. It made the pet feel secure while not having to bend arthritic joints. Nic has two tiny dogs that felt better knowing the other was close. So comfortable that while being groomed they laid down.

I am not sure what Debbie does but the black and white cat fell asleep while being groomed. The Calico cat was pretty relaxed also. AND no they are not medicated.
