⭐️ Walk your dog early in the day, tire them out.

⭐️ Keep your pets home and indoors. Do not bring your pets outside during fireworks even in fenced in yards.

⭐️ Provide your pet a quiet safe space.

⭐️ Keep soothing music or tv on.

⭐️ Distract them with their favorite toys or treats. A kong stuffed with peanut butter or frozen yogurt to keep them busy.

⭐️ Make sure you outfit your dog with collar and ID. Make sure your microchip information is up to date.

⭐️ Take updated photos of your pet. Full body shot and face. Should the worst happen.

⭐️ Startled frightened dogs are known to jump through screen windows and porches.

Not sure where to start this one... But this seems appropriate. Last year I trapped 6 cats at the newly constructed disc golf course. Last week, I was alerted to a hoarding situation not far from there. Yesterday I started the extraction process. Clearly these cats are genetically linked to last year's cats. Coincidentally the golf course is doing a fund raiser to benefit my work. Any money that comes in that day will go directly into this hoarding situation. Though the city of Port Jervis will help with this, most of the cost will land with me, which is fine. If you want to have fun and support me. Sign up for disc golf. Thank you to this group for recognizing that it takes a whole community to save cats.
