We raise registered American Quarter Horses on a small ranch at the edge of Badlands National Park just outside of Scenic, South Dakota We are proud of them.

Brood mares are the heart of our program and we strive to keep a small, consistent band. We have looked to the past and sought out mares that carry the lines of the two great mares Dixie Beach and Lady Coolidge. Our original mare band was built on mares from Don Stearns’ breeding program. Today the mare’s predominately carry the blood of Harlan with outcrosses to Roan Wolf, Cee Bo**er Red and Okla

homa Fuel. They produce the kind of horse you want to use and the quality to be competitive. Stallion(s) standing:

Big Honey Harlan is 25% Harlan, his dam, Harlanders Holly is a daughter of the great calf-horse sire, Harlander and was hauled as a PRCA level calf horse for many years

Harlan Kent, "Taz" has a free moving style and the ability to round his back and really park it. Linebred Harlan Okmulgee, at 25% Harlan he will allow us to concentrate the Harlan blood and provide a different line to Harlan. Years in business: 20 years

We are very very pleased with this year c**t crop and excited to share our 2024 price list. I will pin this post to the top of this page and also to my personal page. I will keep it updated as c**ts are spoken for.

We will be on the road today, hauling a mare in for a preg check. Cell service may be spotty. I will get back to folks in order whenever I have connectivity. If you need to call, please message to ask for a cell number.

Calling the mares up for halter breaking again.

Calling the mares up for the first halter breaking session this morning. The 4 that are consigned to the RQHBA : Ranchers Quarter Horse Breeders Association sale in August 22 and 3 others that are already spoken for.

Winning the heeling today at Gillette on a Jacks Firery Roan mare out of a Big Honey Harlan daughter.

Sometimes you get a message that just sings ...and makes you feel like you are doing some things right. Got a couple of videos today from Tee Cross and his mare Nifty Blue Lass (aka Lumpy) by Jacks Firery Roan out of a Big Honey Harlan x Tyrees Watch daughter. I will post another of Tee’s son on the same mare the evening before.

If I could have predicted what horse we raised wouldn’t make a barrel horse I might have said this one. Pudgy Outlaw, look at him making us proud with a try hard attitude and consistency. Macy Diehl
