We met at the park today and Layla did an amazing job with all the distractions! She worked on staying in "place", recall off of "place" and meeting kids! Good job mom and Layla!

Rainy training!! E-collar practice with Tommy and his mom. This past week a section of Tommy's fence fell down and he ran so today we practiced recall in the back yard with the e-collar. He responded amazingly! Keep up the great work!

Hank is a very excitable puppy (cute too!). We worked on keeping a calm state of mind while people come into the home, recalled off place outside and leash reactivity while on walks. Busy day but Hank and his family did an amazing job! Peep Feyre in the back keeping it together! Great job pups!! 👏

Big distractions with Layla today! We worked on staying calm when people come into the house and impulse control with young people! She did amazing with her decision making. Great job today!! I'm very proud of all the hard work you continue to do!

I saw Reece today and we learned "place". It is a wonderfully versatile command that helps to teach impulse control and a calm state of mind. Reece did a better job with his loose leash walking this week as well. Great job and keep up the good work!

I met with a new puppy friend this morning named Hank! He has a great obedience foundation already so we started with "place" to work on impulse control. Hank is always very excited to see everyone and in true puppy fashion, is very distractible. I can't wait to see how he does next week when we ramp up his distractions! Good job today!

We saw Layla today and worked on recall off of "place" and with distractions! Layla and Mom have worked hard this past week and it shows. I'm so proud of you ladies! Keep up the great work!

I met with Reece and his family for their first session! We are working on some basic obedience and learned loose leash walking and recall! I'm excited to see how they do!! Great job tonight guys!

We introduced Tommy to an electric collar today. As we were practicing, Tommy was able to demonstrate impulse control on "place" as a neighbor dog walked by. He did amazing and made good choices! Great job today!

We learned "place" with Layla today! When the neighbor arrived home she had the opportunity to practice impulse control while on "place". Layla will often run across the street and disregard mom when they get home so we also worked on her recall. She is a very smart puppy and made some great choices all on her own. Good job today!

Layla and Mom did amazing tonight on the walk! Layla was displaying some reactivity towards cars, other dogs and people while on walks. With a teeny tiny micro prong collar she walked with a loose leash! Training tools like prong collars and electric collars can be wonderful for communication if introduced properly no matter how small! Good job ladies!

Practicing "place" with some tiny distractions!

Feyre is practicing "place" today. Being a mix of 2 herding dogs she likes to correct excited dogs over the door when they are here for appointments. I am using the "place" command to stop that behavior. Instead of her getting overly excited and corrective towards other dogs she has to remain calm and in one spot. With consistant and clear boundries, in the future she will be able to exist off of "place" without reacting to the excited dogs around her.

First training session with this cutie, Layla! She is a fluffy puppy who will be learning some basic obedience and Mom will be learning more effective communication. They did great together during this hot afternoon. I'm excited to see them grow together in the coming weeks!

Practicing "place" with some tiny distractions!

The beast and her mess!

I couldn't be more proud!!! Thomas and his mom had an amazing session today. This is them doing "place" outside. 3 weeks ago this wouldn't have been possible. They put in the work and are seeing changes!! Good job you two!!

Feyre and I practicing "place" the other day. You can see her really paying attention and making good choices after a correction. I love how she looks to me for direction. What a smart pup!

New puppy lunch puzzle! If you have a fast eater or an active pup that needs a little more mental stimulation through the day, a puzzle is a great toy to introduce!

Introduced Feyre to the prong collar yesterday! She took to it very well and it's use is allowing us to have calmer, more structured walks! Good job Fey! 🤩

This week I am giving Feyre her lunch in a puppy puzzle! They help with confidence building and keep her brain happy! There is an added bonus of slowing her eating as well.
