Throwback to December 2023 - What a fun, special fish! This was right when I was learning how to do EODs and I never got one for this guy.

I now believe it was an Albino Mormyrops nigricans from Congo though.

Excited to be on this electric journey with all of you! Here’s to more!

This specific fish is no longer here, but we do have a juvenile albino Mormyrops anguilloides in right now from Congo.

Ended our 3 year survey of the Mara with a spectacular BANG!!!

Was joined by the fam to say goodbye to the Mara River & they ended breaking all records with the largest Elephant Fish we have ever seen!

A good mix of sizes came - between 4 and 7 inch. Commonly mistaken and imported as Campylomormyrus rhynchophorus. This fish reaches around 8 inches.
