It is with tears and a heavy heart I must say farewell my friend Colton…you will be greatly missed.
Colton was one in a million. I met him many years ago as a client. He hiked with us, we boarded him on many occasions. Fast forward, we bought a house, across the street from Colton. He loved running across the street to greet me when I came home with groceries or whatnot. He loved running in my backyard, always gentle with my chickens. He was a part of my family, my kids grew up with him. I’m so sad to write that he passed away unexpectedly yesterday at 9 years young. We are terribly heartbroken and will forever miss him.
The most difficult thing about having a dog is having to say goodbye…
Run free my friend, I shall see you again someday 💗

Want to treat your bestie to a refreshing and healthy snack after a walk or hike? Our dogs love this frozen recipe, and it'll keep them occupied longer than usual treats!
🐾 Frozen Pup Cups 🐾
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 cup pumpkin puree (pure pumpkin, not pumpkin pie filling)
- 1 medium banana
Blend together, pour into small cups or storage containers, and freeze. Enjoy! 🐶

We are beating the heat by heading out early in the morning and offering 45-minute walks in both the morning and afternoon. It’s been so hot that we’ve reduced our morning two-hour walks to 45 minutes to keep everyone cool and safe! 🌳🏞️

Amity went to “Dog Camp” at for the second year and it’s fitting because it was double the fun!
She brought her Great Dane pup Major, and he got lots of love but also helped his mom demonstrate how to work with dogs and what it’s like to run a dog walking business. We don’t know if Major loved the kids more or if it’s the other way around but we do know that it was a great day for all 💚

Boomer turned 11 today 💗 he’s one of the happiest hikers we’ve known. Always up for an off leash romp or dip in the water. This guy reminds me of Bandit, my old Borden collie lab mix, who is the heart of Dogs Go Hiking. He inspired the vision and Boomer lives on in his legacy. I love this dog SO much!! Happy Birthday Boomer 💗

Today marks 8 years in business!!
So grateful for everyone who has been a part - clients, two legged and four and my amazing staff. What was only a vision so long ago has grown into an amazing business in coastal Massachusetts. Clients on both the South and North Shore and growing on the daily.
I’m SO grateful ❤️ beyond words!
My advice to anyone seeking more…work hard, never give up. You can do more than what you may think you can. Never give up!
