Please consider donating! Grab a second bag of dog food or a leash. The Scituate Animal Shelter of Massachusetts is taking donations for both four legged friends in need as well as humans that have been displaced by the horrible flooding in the Carolina’s. See their post below for items needed.

HELP US HELP NORTH CAROLINA 🐾


We have all seen the news and the effects Hurricane Helene has taken on North Carolina. The devastation is hard to comprehend.

Since our goal is to help pets and the people who love them, we will be holding a drive at SAS to support both humans and animals effected by this. We will have two drives going. The first deliver will be leaving SAS on Friday at noon. The second will be leaving SAS Tuesday, 10/8 at noon.

We will be accepting donations of the following:

For humans:
-Water/Gatorade
-Clothing: socks, t-shirts, underwear
-Toiletries
-Baby wipes
-Cleaning supplies

For pets:
-Collars
-leashes
-unopened bags of pet food
-canned pet food
-cat litter
-bowls in new condition

Since we understand people will also be donating to SAS during this time, we ask you label these items as “North Carolina” so we can ensure it goes to the right spot. You can drop donations off at any time either in or around our donation bin outside.

We can’t thank you enough for helping pets and people.
